Hill was endorsed by many as a good player and person.
Played a lot of plays though he did not start last year.

It is very odd that they used their third round pick on a guy they had little contact with.

McGovern best player on the board at the time. Postion flex, C and G. physical and intangibles that they want.

Also a future player as they need to look what is coming up.

That’s great.

But that’s a move a team with a near perfect roster makes.

We have a team that has some clear needs and apparently an OG/C that will likely be a backup and then might start a few years from now was a more important move?

There has to be something coming down the pike - Collins trade, TFred can’t go, something.

Jerry seems to have lost a significant percentage of his brain function.

“The only way to be able to draft into a strength is to keep drafting into that strength. Think about it”

Silence and laughter from everyone in the room.

ticket mentioned earlier, if Williams not moved to RT. They said more like, McGovern doesn't play this year. Then after this season, Collins is allowed to walk, as you can't pay them all. Martin moves to RT, and McGovern steps in at RG.

Garrett just said, need to keep that OL strong, or something to that effect. But to me it sounds like they are scared of injuries again.

Stephen said there was a run on secondary players they had rated highly and McGovern was BPA by a long shot at 90.

It's weird.

The team knows it has a weakness at safety, has been very open about it, and then goes another direction with their first pick when lots of options to help are there to be had.

Why are they so reluctant to use resources to address safety?

Stephen said they had opportunities to move down in both picks to accumulate more picks. But you can't always do that, as it is proven you need to have picks at the top to get the best players, so that is what they did.
So better players than just extra ok players.
