The point is well-taken that it doesn't seem there's much thought to trading this year's slot for the same round next year, as opposed to trading down.

It's not worth getting bent out of shape at this point in the draft. You aren't going to be able to fill needs any at this point, and any player you draft that's even a marginal contributor is probably a better pick than 80-90% of the remaining players.
