I've been asking for a defensive tackle for three or four seasons now. I truly believe if you can't get pressure up the middle you cannot win in this league. Look what the Patriots did destroyed Mahomes up the middle. If your quarterback steps up your Edge rushers just can't get there. Again how many times going to tell go Cowboys I have neuropathy from the military my fingers sting I use speaking text and sometimes my words get gobbled I apologize LOL
You never need to apologize. Just thank you, you served us all.

All I remember from that board is there was a moderator with a Clint Eastwood avatar called Smoking guns or QuickDraw or something. Someone found out I was an eagles fan and would derail every thread by calling me names and making personal threats, and when I quoted the terms of use saying that was apprehensible, the Clint Eastwood guy banned me for a week for ‘Impersonating a moderator’
100000 post and I never pressed the report button. I didn't mind fans coming from other teams. long as they were respectful. Well maybe a Commanders fan here and there I didn't like. LOL I live 25 minutes from Gillette Stadium. But how could you not like the star and what it represents the first game I ever saw was overseas in the military. Tom Landry mr. Cowboy missed a class. How can I not be a Cowboy fan

So the coaches he's played for in college the last 3 years don't know him? Because they sat him on the bench all year except one game because of his crappy attitude.
You just can't help idiots that don't want to believe what credible information is out there from reliable sources that knew him best, well then stay a moron:thumbup:.

WTH are you talking about. You do know that my reference is not for our pick of Hill but for the know all and know better then the professionals that actually do this for living.

But to respond to your reference of Hill. So you think that they did not do research and due diligence on him. And with all the resources they have that they maybe found out what was really going on and decided that it wasn’t enough to not pick him. And he didn’t have problems with the old coaches so maybe, just maybe the organization talked to his old coaches to get some insight?

But I’m a moron so what do I know. SMDH!

Exactly droop.

We all fall in love with certain guys and then we don't get them and we become outraged. Rinse and Repeat.

Just like today, people post a Big Board of day 3. We likely land maybe one guy we all know and like. The rest are like McGovern and out of left field. People are paid to scout and we've been one of the most successful drafting teams in the NFL. We have to trust it.
We NEED S and CB and we take an OG who probably isn’t even going to vie for time this coming season. We screwed the pooch on every pick, ESPECIALLY the Pollard one because Johnson was still there and we could’ve grabbed Pollard 10 picks later.

I’m sure annoyance cuts both ways, whether it’s kicking or over-celebrating a selection. As we know, there are NFL clubs out there that pour countless hours and resources into college scouting, but still can’t put together a decent draft class. Most others are still hit and miss.

This guy hates the Zeke pick or the selection of Shante Carver. So what? We all recognize none of us will ever do this for a living, but it’s perfectly fine not to be in alignment with decisions made by the front office this weekend.

So for humor this morning I spent time ready through a thread from last years draft. I am lmao at all the same draft exports on this board who was complaining about LVE is now complaining about Hill. I laugh all the time at uninformed experts. We don’t have the tools, resources or expertise as a NFL team but yet we still form an opinion on very little substance.

There are a lot of familiar names in this thread and most are here again this year whining about our pics.

It's great to have an opinion on players, it's a Cowboys forum after all, but the confidence some posters have in their player evaluations makes me chuckle.
Agree, the actual people doing evaluations for a living or not as deadset as some of our crew.

I am more of a fan to react with "huh"? about these players I am not familiar with like Michael and Joe Jackson and the RB out of Memphis. Maybe there's a pearl in there with 8 oysters?

My only complaint is where is the hell is the Bronco from Boise State? It ain't a Cowboys draft without a Bronco. Get me a blue fielder!!!

I will say one thing about this draft. If I didn't know better, I would think Booger was on the boat. This didn't resemble a Booger draft at all, too damned boring and tame. My only hope is that we sign a serial killer as an UDFA to give me something to focus on. I am only here for the controversy.

I can only remember one draft pick I complained about and that was Gavin Escabar. Knew nothing about him as a player but knew he would amount to a wasted second round pick with Witten ahead of him. I don’t follow college football close enough to complain about players. As long as we use a premium draft pick on a player who has a chance to get on the field a lot anything is possible with them. The draft is a crapshoot with no guarantees regardless the round you select a player.

I went back a few more years (I was bored) and the Manziel hype was really funny.

At the end of the day, we have new players and I will root for their success and have a few beers.

I really hated the taco pick. I felt like Taco was only picked in case we didn't keep D Law. There were better players that could have helped our team.

I didn’t like the pick either but never complained about it because I knew he would get a chance to play.

I was hoping we would draft a DT with our first pick. Now we just got to see if this guy can play. If he can help us this year and be disruptive upfront we could have a fierce pass rush. He has size and quickness that’s a good combination for wrecking some havoc. We’ll just have to see.

The difference is LB was a potential need due to Sean Lee’s health issues, and even if healthy he could slide to any of the 3 lb slots.

Due to the talent you already have at their positions, If Trysten Hill’s attitude problems persist and he still doesn’t take football seriously, it’s entirley possible none of your picks before day three play significant time on their rookie contracts.

But I’m sure Connor will look great on special teams

And we got a RB in the 7th Round that Lindy’s ranked much higher than Miles Sanders predraft. That doesn’t mean diddly, either!

If it were me I would have took the top safety and used my comp 4th to trade up early in the 3rd for hill or Saunders. Why take the 15th best DT and not a top 3 safety in the draft class
