Didn't Temple go 8-4 last year (well, before they lost their bowl game)? Oh, because there isn't bad tape around for anyone drafted before him, right? Because Juan Thornhill didn't have tape that showed he missed tackles or ran bad tackling angles, etc......... Let me ask you this - are you a professional scout? Because, if your answer is no, please stop acting like you are. Again, I'll trust the words of guys that work FOR the NFL or have direct links to the NFL before I ever trust folks like you, Risen, Matt James, etc..........
Truth hurt much, Jeff? Need a Snickers?

I believe you about the talent level.

However my concern is: if he really was the most talented guy on the line......... you have to be a real malcontent to get benched when you’re the most talented guy on a unit.

Typically being the most talented buys you some leeway with being a jerk.

His character concerns bother me. I understand college kids make mistakes. But man I can’t stand selfish players. So I hope he grows up

The coaching staff has been really tight lipped about it, but the rumblings were there. Thing is, he was a favorite amongst coaches and media his freshman year, but things got sour his sophomore season under Scott Frost and continued under Huepel/Randy Shannon. I heard lazy and opinionated more than a few times.

I hope the light turns on because he has all the tools to succeed in the NFL.

The truth is you really have no clue how this pick will turn out. I’ve seen quotes from highly respected NFL associated folks that said he was high on many teams boards. But, since you already know he’s a a bust, why don’t you go ahead and let us know the Powerball Numbers for tonight’s drawing.....

Never forget Joey Ivie.

That's Rod Marinelli to me

Yeah forget about all the other linemen who've been produced here let's focus on a singular kid drafted in the 6th round.

He said all the right things in his post draft interview. So did randy Gregory.

A whopping 6 whole sacks in 3 years of college ball.

He is coming off a career high of 3 last year. So there's that.

This is Rod Marinelli and it only makes me hate him more.
Hate....really
Maybe vehemently disagree with his scheme.....
But hate the man personally, come on

Professional scouts aren’t that great. If you follow the draft like enough you’ll see that they are just about the same as those of us who are draft junkies.

Anyone who has followed football their entire life can identify talent because all of the traits and measurable are well known. You just have to be able to identify it.

While draft junkies and scouts may have some of the same abilities lets be honest. Scouts do it full time and then some. They devote their lives to it, not only watching film which is I am certain an inconceivable amount of work but also speaking with players, their coaches ect. So yeah same basically the same thing just times a million.

Edit: not to say some scouts dont suck lol, and not to say some of you junkies arent awesome either.

It's not the kid. It was Marinelli's unbridled enthusiasm that was embarrasing

What lineman were produced here that overachieved? Where are these lineman that the guru transformed into pro bowlers and all pros

Hill has his moments if you pick and choose your tape.

Sad thing is you have to watch a lot of other guys to get to it.

I know.. That’s what makes it worse.. They devote so much more time to it and have more resources and still make tons of mistakes.

Yea, I’m sure I did

And as far as cheerleading, let me remind you that I was the guy who went to LVEs pro day and told every whiner and doubter on this board that he was better than Rashan Evans and as good as Roquan Smith.

And then told this board before the pick that Hill would and should be the pick.

Other than run the draft challenge that you’ve never won, what exactly have you done to prove you know anything about the draft?

And serious question: wouldn’t you be a happier person being a fan of the Eagles and Wentz?
Good grief. Are you really patting yourself on the back and anointing yourself as a draft guru? Every poster in this board has gotten pucks right and properly evaluated players. It is not a big deal. If it was a big deal, maybe some of the posters will remember it. Personally I don’t remember your amazing draft insight. As I stated, there are too many people on this board that knows the drafting process well for me to remember all of them.
