Yes, Stephen said the defense is fine at the safety position when asked about it in the last couple of days. He spent the entire off-season saying that upgrading the safety position was a priority. Yes, this idiot is the future of the Dallas Cowboys.

Yeah you should replace him because your so smart and know absolutely everything

That raises serious questions. Who’s rating all these guys so high and they don’t even get drafted? Also, why didn’t you draft some of them then?
drafting is all about what the teams think of players, not so much how good they are or could be.
That is why you see high round busts, and low round success storys.
A lot of luck is involved in whether a player makes it or not too.

Take Tom brady, he might have washed out of the league as an unknown had he been drafted by another team.
He got lucky, and also made the most of his opportunity.Similar deal for Romo.

No one can say for sure whether any of these guys will be good in the pros, they just have to get a good chance to try
and make the most of it.
Also all of these guys are the cream of college football so they all have potential, some more than others, then it
also depend on how smart they are and how hard they work at it.

People bash heath, but he was a nobody, late round or udfa who made the most of the opportunity, and has done
pretty good all things considered, made some cash , and has lasted what 4 years with the cowboys,

To be fair. The only qualification that Stephen has to run a team, beyond what @jnday has. Is that Jerry didn’t impregnate his mom.

Stephen only runs a football team because his daddy owns it. That’s it.

So his nearly 30 years of experience working for the team don’t count for anything. He is probably one of the most qualified people on the planet to run an nfl team.

30 years and how many accomplishments? Other teams fire their GM’s for having the same results Jerry and Stephen have had. Years of experience aren’t the only things that make somebody qualified for a job.

They have no accountability because they own the team. I’m just stating facts.

Really really like the Wise, Hyatt and Westry pickups!

Wise could push Ross off the roster. DT is really starting to look like a plus

Hyatt - Eventual backup swing tackle. Dallas is going to love this kids work ethic

Westry - Still don’t know how this kid didn’t get drafted based off numbers alone. 6’4, 4.3 40, never missed a game. No character issues either.

What is the difference between signing bonus and guaranteed?

I know Dallas gave a big guarantee to Leary in the past. Have they done this every year? I see some big numbers from other teams. Is this a new trend with UDFA players? Are these numbers more than 7th round picks get?

If the cowboys had draftable grades on most of these guys, I am glad they are offering good incentives to bring them to camp. It would seem it would be a no brainer to use a couple hundred grand with the hope you find 1-2 guys who make your team

You’re basically seeing the big money go to guys so they come to your team. They’ve done that for years and all teams do do that.
