He’ll split time with lloka. Heath isn’t an everyday starter. He’s more a rotation player.

Other than Dak, Zeke, T-Smith, Zach, Fredbeard, Jaylon, LVE, and D-Law, our entire roster seems to consist of nothing but rotational and/or position-flex players.

I think most see this as a easy upgrade spot heading into the offseason. Also I am not sold on Iioka either. I think there is a better chance he does not make the final roster than he winds up the starter at safety.

And yet, we’ve won the division two of the last three years! Could the coaching be at least a HAIR better than the general perception? Not being facetious, just wondering.

Jeff Heath is flying around on private jets, taking trips with leaders of the team. Nobody of significance was brought in who can truly take his spot. Heath is safe imo.

Illoka could be a run down SS, which would be a good way to get the best out of this group. Heath can play deep on obvious passing downs.

Because there always has to be a player that gets shot at. When, if ever, has there not been this player? Going back to Flozell being in the PB and being hated on for his false starts. Doug Free got his turn in the barrel.

How many posters here really watch the play of the S on every D play? We mostly see the plays where he was late because of the angle he took on a replay. He is not a great S or close to being the best player on the D but he is not a bad player or he wouldn't be the starter on the team.

I am not aware of any poster here having the experience or qualifications to grade players at the NFL level and some that laud Richard as the second coming are questioning the man in charge of that secondary. And while some feel Iloka is there to take Heath's job, I am wait and see on that.

Posters need to take some of that "Rico Love" and give it to Heath. That's the biggest joke on this forum. The guy cannot remember where to line up from the sideline to the field?

He already got replaced as a starter when we signed George Iloka.

There is even the possibility he doesnt make the 53 if cheaper backup options like Wilson, Frazier and/or Thompson show they are worthy of a roster spot
Lol yeah and Iloka is just such a beast(insert eye roll), no offense but he's nothing special at all. Most on the boards are upset because the draft totally seemed to go Dallas way and they had a buffet of safeties to choose from at 58 and even a couple that could have been pretty nice with their second pick and choose to ignore the position. I tend to agree with those that are upset. A great safety could take this defense to the next level and a couple of those that were available at 58 could have possibly done that for this team IMHO.

Im not saying he is special, but he was signed to replace Heath as the starting Safety. I get that people are upset about not taking a Safety, I was too but thats not what this thread is about. This is about people think that means we get Heath as a starter again in 2019. Thats not accurate

If it makes you feel better the people that do grade every safety have him graded 81 out of 93. Ppl are unhappy with him watching him. And every source available backs those same thoughts

I like Heath. I think he could be an excellent Backup to both Safety positions. I also think he could be a great special teams player. He could even be a great situational player.

What he isn't is an every down starting safety.
