That would complete this team. I have tried to convince myself the last 4 years or so but I am pretty sure this time.

I will give the FO a pass because of their confidence in iloka but he is not a long term solution.

I am pretty confident that one of the top safties this college season will be ours.

Not sure about that. We'll probably go BPA. And we might view RDE as more of an immediate need. Gregory may never play again and i think we only signed Quinn to a 1 year deal.

That would be a huge surprise as they do not value that position as highly as other teams but things are looking up, they did take a DT with their 2nd this time.

Nothing they have done recently suggests they will do that. They had first/second round S talent available at 58 and they foolishly passed. Passing Thornhill, Rapp and Adderley will haunt this team for years in my opinion. If they were so high on Hill, they should have moved up in draft right after selecting Thornhill. Could have hit a home run getting both of their top targets.

Thank You. Seeing as it wasnt that expensive to move up (the Draft show especially Helman kept mentioning this), this woulda been the smart move.

That's what will torture me with this draft could have easily hauled in safety, dt, Hb that they liked

That depends on Jarwin and Schultz. I am not so sure we need a starting caliber TE drafted next year.

Like you said it depends on Jarwin and Schultz. If neither establishes themselves as a quality starter and aren’t able to reduce Wittens snaps then TE will be one of our top needs.

Yea right. This front office and DC doesnt give a damn about the Safety position
Not with the 1st pick unless he's some freakish multi-faceted guy and a Heisman finalist for the marketability of it.

Got to start with having a HC and DC that put a lot of value on that position and they do not have that now.

Still hasn't sunk in yet, huh?

Ok, only investments in Safety last few years:

Draft: 6th round picks - Kavon Frazier, Xavier Woods, Donovan Wilson

FA: minimum deals: Robert Blanton, Darian Thompson, George Iloka

Extension: Jeff Heath (4yr/7.7M, 2016)

Highest Salary: Heath 3M, Iloka 1M...all others under 1M.

For the Cowboys to pay all the premium positions they have to go cheap in others and they have chosen 1Tech and Saftey...that's just how it is. This has been going on for years! This isn't a matter of a recent circumstance this is their philosophy and way of team building. Follow the $... the investments tell the truth not someone's lips moving in front of a microphone.

Way too early to say, need to see how it all plays out.
The real question is, what is the BPA at pick #32. And then it won't matter. :D

TE and safety will likely get high priority next draft......just can't fill every need in one draft.

If one of our young TEs don’t establish themselves as a quality starter and Witten doesn’t have much left in the tank and retires then TE is going to be our biggest need. Can’t invest a lot of money in your QB and not surround them with every weapon possible.
