Hills issues are the same as Greg Ellis with Parcells

People are trying to make Hill’s issues that of Baker or T.O., when it has nothing to do with off field chemistry.

Hill was not happy how he was being utilized going from 4-3 to 3-4. Well history shows there is another cowboy who had that problem, Greg Ellis.

He didn’t like the switch and let it be known. Eventually he got over it and a very productive career as an OLB with at least 7.0 sacks every year he played more than 9 games. Even when he only played 9 games he had 4.5 sacks.

Find me some other “maturity” issue other than what is a cowards way to discredit Hill.

Cowboys also just got their RE for the very same reason. Quinn wasn’t as good in the 3-4. He may not have been vocal about it but that’s what happens in scheme changes.

I suppose if I was him and banking on a productive college career so that I could make it to the NFL then I too might be pissed off. To go from being a penetrating DT to being a Nose and space eating can definitely limit how you are seen come draft time.

I dont know the whole story, for all I know Hill is a dirt bag, but I can't believe we would be that stupid.

Hopefully he comes in and fits nicely and we never hear another story about his bad attitude.

Thank you very much for doing that bit of homework for us. I already had a good feeling and vibe and you just helped it.

Wow I must be slipping. I've read scads of posts on Hill's "issues" with the new coaching, but totally missed the scheme change reference.

I'm still puzzled why the new UCF coach would have switched from a 4-3 to a 3-4, after taking over a team that just went undefeated 13-0, and laid stake to the National Championship, and had recruited players the last 3 years for a 4-3 defense, and coached them to play in a 4-3 defense........why he would switch to a new 3-4 defense?

Huh? Randy Shannon the DC at UCF is a 4-3 guy?

He comes from the same tree of jimmy, butch Davis, Dave wanny, etc...

They love explosive DTs that get up field and attack the QB... I’m a Miami Hurricane fan so I remember him well when he was our HC.. great dline production but he couldn’t teach LBs how to cover a TE to save their lives

He didn't do any homework.
He has the story wrong. They switched to a 4-3 in Hill's last year. It was his most productive year stats wise so thats the only saving grace.

The story is still remains that he didnt earn the starting role in practices ect. Plus the reports seem true that he had a mouth problem.

Your issue, Our issue and Jerry's issue. Still one of Jerry's biggest regrets...
I wasnt into football at that time, but Ive always wondered, would it had really mattered if Moss was drafted by Dallas? Wasnt Aikman on the downside of his career?

Scheme fit is very important and Ellis would have been more productive for us as a 4-3 DE. Seeing him drop back in coverage was very ridiculous...

This is absurd. Ellis never had any of the character issues that Hill is known for and no one ever accused him of them either until now.

I swear some of you guys pull stuff out of your butts just to feel better about a friggin’ sports team. It’s just a game. It’s not worth lying to yourself over. It’s not worth teaching yourself to lie about uncomfortable truths. The Hill pick does not look good. It happens.

Do you know of these Hill character issues directly or are you just parroting the Fake News media which we all know spins a story any way they decide?

Ellis issue was he was mad he wasn’t Randy Moss.
Or maybe that was my issue...

When we passed on Metcalf for Hill i was like man i hope this isn't randy moss all over again lol. Even though Metcalf is no where near the talent of Randy Moss coming out of college but he is a physical speciman that can make some crazy catches but also drop easy ones. Randy Moss had hands of glue.
