Maybe.

If Jason truly is on the hot seat, how likely is it he just gives the reigns to this guy?

I don't know what we'll get from Moore. He was Linnehan's boy from their days in Detroit and that rolled over to Dallas. I'm no Debbie Downer or habitual whiner but he never impressed me as a QB here, admittedly never watched him in college. Can he be his own guy or did Scott rub off on him? Can he be his own guy or will JG reel him in? I have no basis for expecting him to be good or bad BUT historically, first year OCs aren't very successful. If our offense get's off to a rough start like 2018, expect the knives and pitchforks to come out. And for gods sakes lets see more than 1/4 of the starters in the pre-season games!

I'll take the bright side and say, good coaches and teachers are not always great players
My hunch is the Moore Experiment will be interesting if not disastrous.

Jerry basically setting up next scapegoat for Dak. Don’t want to bring a proven OC in and make Dak look bad. Lol

So far in 3 seasons no one but Garrett has survived with Dak. 2nd QB coach, 2nd OC, lost all of our receivers . Well Witten is back:)

I don't buy the "JJ setting up the scapegoat for Dak". If you buy that, Linnehan is still here and no reason to change anything. Do I think we did the easy thing in firing Linen Hands and promoting Moore, my gut says yes.

Like you say it will be interesting. Imagine this one, we get off to a 1-3 start and the rumors circulate that JG will start calling the plays. Guess where Moore's confidence goes if he has any at all, and I can't imagine that after a failed football career and a so so QB coach career that he would be chalk full of confidence. Maybe the FO has that much confidence in Moore but where that confidence came from is your guess as well as mine

of course he does, a lot of it is from existing playbook, with his modifications.....he hasn't coached long enough to have an NFL level playbook developed by himself.
Coach Klein changed his playbook and led Bobby Boucher and the mud dogs to a championship. Moore might do the same.

I don’t understand why anyone would equivocate the ability of the player equal to the ability of the coach. I mean are you serious?

"The missing link"?

Between humans and monkeys? Possible
For our offense? No

Well now we know.
Moore will be a failure and we don't even have to watch this year.
Thanks for the inside info Soothsayer:bow:

Actually I didn't. What I said was not all great players are great coaches. That's not evasive, see Mike Singletary. Put another way, some are teachers some are doers. Then finally, I don't see Moore as a great teacher based on last year as a QB coach. Not a single prevarication. A prevarication would be Moore hasn't done anything, not that we're aware of anyway. I also stated that based on historical, first year OCs aren't very successful. I'm not dissing your boy Moore. I just don't know what he is. Let's watch and see

Last years failure had nothing to do with Dak. The defense couldn’t stop LA in the running game. So ***?

Not exactly said as it was put, and do you really think he was serious about it. Another example of something being twisted into something it is not. But hey, like high school kids, fans will run with it and make it what fits their agenda.
Jerry made it clear to the world Moore is to circumvent the HC and report to him if he has any problems with Garrett concerning the offense. You can accept it or live in la la Land if you want.

Whatever dude, just make your comment and leave the stupid insults out of it.
Shows me you have no credibility when you do that.

I think it’s more of JJ just stressing that Moore will have a say and the scheme won’t be the same thing it’s been the last 3 seasons.
Well they need something new, it will be interesting to see just what happens!
Only 4 months left till we get to see ! lol ........wow 4 months !!!!!!!

this is how I perceived it . The thing is , it is so silly when a OC has to go to the owner about the HC not letting him change the offense!
Only in dallas lol.
This just says garrett should just be gone, because he doesnt do anything but manage the game, which he isnt very good at.
And even jerry thinks he will try to interfere with the new OC.

Moore is a Garrett guy. You guys are fooling yourselves trying to start the echo chamber up to position Kellen Moore as your offensive version of Richard.

Garrett’s the guy in charge. He’s built a competitive team, and its probably going to earn him a fat five year extension after the season.

Did you even read what he wrote? He never mentioned Daks name in the post you quoted.

Ok, I didn't even mention Dak. I assume you mean lasts years failure had everything to do with Dak and/or the defense not stopping the Rams running game. So, is that the correct assumption Rock. Again I'm not dissing Moore as an OC because he has never been one and has no track record. I find that concerning, you may not. I do know that historically, first year OC's have been all over the map as far as success

If this season is a playoff season , Garrett will get the credit because Moore is just a kid that doesn't know a thing .

On the flip side if we have a terrible season , Moore gets the blame because he's just a kid that doesn't know a thing .

Garrets has been here 12 years , every coordinator has taken the heat when we have a losing season .
