Rush reminds me of Hogeboom, and the few times I saw White play I'd have to say no. We have one NFL quarterback on this roster.

Regressed? His lollipop arm was apparent ever since he got here. Dude absolutely does not possess the arm for the NFL.
Arm is not the problem
Decision making is
White has a huge arm but if he doesn’t get the mental part it won’t matter
A big arm is great but the QB position is much more mental than physical
I’m not sure either has it but it’s too soon to give up on white

Yup, confused his processing ability with the move to a dak friendly offense

I'd love to have a vet behind Dak...looks like our OL depth going into the pre-season games might be better than last year so maybe Rush and White can show what they are or are not capable of.

Opposite. Rush's arm is such a huge problem that it completely negates him from starting potential. While I agree about the mental part and decision making, a QB must have at least a minimum of arm strength. Rush does not. Not complicated.

W/ White, the game is simply too fast for him at this point. For some it slows down, for others it never does. He at least has the arm.

Or do you think we should kick some free agent tires?
No.

Get Rush and White reps in the pre-season and mini-camps.

Much rather they learn Moore's offense instead of some QB with mileage from other teams.

We need to know which guy is going to step up just in case.

I like Rush but have no idea what happened last year that he regressed so much.

Meh.

Yes if Daks upright hes very durable, tough and doesnt come out often..how much time did he miss since HS/College??

iF dak gets hurt we can grab a scrub to get through the season..season over at that point unless Stephen and Jerry grow brass balls and get Kap regardless of what others think.. Kap is as close to daks game as anyone out there..id get him now but that would cause too much controversy on and off the field..i know its not popular player but we want to win?

He can be our Nick foles ,oops

There's just not enough practice snaps available to a backup QB to keep them proficient at doing their job during the regular season. During the off season and training camp, the 2nd and 3rd string QB get a few more snaps than usual but then the season starts and Dak will be getting almost all the snaps. It's for that reason, a veteran QB and not Mike White or Cooper Rush would be better suited to serve as our backup QB. A veteran like Jon Kitna should know this but good luck to him to convince Kellen Moore or Jason Garrett of these facts who are both career backup QBs.

We have terrible backup QB options. Fortunately (touch wood) we have a durable QB.

We are NOT OK at backup QB.

But no team is. White should improve, he could be a decent backup as early as this season. I think Cooper Rush remains a "break glass only in emergency" player and they go with 2 QBs on the 53 this year, but who knows how the preseason shakes out.

I agree that no team is. The backups on offense have more OL depth and RB/WR weapons to work with this preseason so I'm expecting Rush and White to both look better. Whoever performs will win the backup job. Although if Rush loses his backup spot idk if I see him making the team.

They won't let them play. They are afraid fans will find out anybody can throw check down passes behind our line. And it seems Dak has fragile feelings, we would want to hurt them.

My get reaction is we are not okay at backup QB. That said, White could have a great TC and preseason, and that could change my perception, but for now I'm not comfortable.
