I am NOT suggesting he is a bust, but I didn’t think he was that great last year at G for a second rounder. I think he is better suited to play OT, and I hope he plays great regardless of where they play him.

Having said that, he seems to not have enough strength to play G, and he may have some challenges at T.

I think he’s a 50/50 player to “make a hand” at one position or the other. That’s not great odds, compared to how spoiled we have been at drafting OL over the past several years.
zero.....not even a second thought

He played well last year, he just didnt play great or at a PB level but geez starting as rookie is big deal and he held his own, has off season to get bogger and stronger and better..hes not bust not even close and that wont happen..if we all went by where you are picked and your rookie seasons Troy Aikman , Peyton manning, just to name few would be BUSTS..

Bust? It's more likely that he's the Cowboys starting RT in 2020.

He is gonna be fine. Problem is that we are spoiled by our earlier draft picks that were instant pro bowl starters. Williams we knew was gonna take a year or so to bulk up but has all the right tools.

I have it at near Zero.

CW was "good-enough" early last season but struggled against power.

He was out week 10 and 11 with an injury and replaced by Sua-Filo.

He was active but didn't start weeks 12-14.

He started again in week 15.

Missed week 16 with an injury issue.

He started week 17 and the playoffs.

CW was much improved once he returned in week 15.

Here are the games missed and games started beginning with with the 1st week CW was out (week 10).

This is for Connor Williams, Xavier Sua-Filo and Zack Martin.

I mean, he lost his job mid season and we just drafted a guard; also Jerry just talked about him swinging to T.

Writing is on the wall, as of right now, Williams was not the guard they imagined.

Do you not keep up with these players? This off-season, Conner Williams has obviously followed his nutritionist's plan to gain weight by packing on muscle. This guy has been living in the weight room and reading his playbook updates getting ready for the 2019 season. The shoulders on this guy are quite impressive now days.

We will see if it equates to results on the field. I hope so. But Taco says hello.

You know that I greatly value your opinion as a poster of this forum. To say he struggled against power early though to me seems generous. I do think the kid has potential. I think he could be better at OT. Time will tell. We need this kid to work out.

Have you read the off season reports on him?

Because it doesn't seem you have.

I doubt @Verdict even saw Connor Williams play last year. The off-season reports don't fit his agenda, so whether he read the reports or not is moot. A player who started his rookie year and played decent to well and can play all 5 positions on the OL. Yeah, he wants to talk bust potential there

It's a regular Friday so henny. Save Remy for the nicer occasions. And when I'm in the hood it's the easy jeezy
Have an unopened bottle of Remy XO from when I was driving limos/buses. Stopped about 3 years ago after 13 years doing it.

Some drunk azzes left it in the limo.

A bust for a 2nd rounder is a guy who simply can't play. Even at Connor's level last year as a G, that performance is nowhere near bust level. He'll be better with experience as a G and if he moves back to OT.

A lot of OL players (and others) need that first real off-season with the NFL weight/conditioning program to get stronger. I'm not worried.
