So many "fans" willing to throw away a player cause they have crazy expectations. Taco wasn't going to be a 10 sack guy out the gate. They knew, you knew, I knew he needed some development so give the guy another year. He isn't the worst DE in the league. Is more productive than most of the DE's picked after him and we absolutely need the insurance with DLaw not finishing a season healthy in years.
There you go bringing reality into the conversation.... lol

So Northwest gives an idea that is based in reality, and you call it fairytale land for no reason and give out a stupid *** suggestion?

That's odd.
Don’t know who I’d want (McCoy? Brate?), but they definitely have a need at LDE after JPP fractured his neck in a car accident and likely to miss 2019. Thoughts?

Using actual trades that have happened in the past, a draft pick going into his 3rd season that's considered a disappointment generally does not return much value in a trade.

Even decent players that are not elite often don't net much in return.

RB Jordon Howard was the Bears full time starter the past 3 seasons AND still in his rookie contract. They got a 6th round pick for him.

DEs do have more value but Taco has not done much compared to a 3 year full time starter.

Oakland traded 2016 2nd round pick (#44 overall) DE Jihad Ward to Dallas for 2017 4th round pick WR Ryan Switzer. The Raiders then traded Switzer to the Steelers in exchange for swapping their 6th round pick for the Steelers 5th round pick.

Last year the Cowboys traded a 6th round pick to the Rams for the 2013 top 10 pick (8th overall) Tavon Austin. The Rams even paid 4M if his 7M salary.

The Dolphins traded #62 overall to AZ for the 10th pick in the 2018 draft (QB Rosen). The Dolphins wouldn't even give them #48 which which they had and instead traded down with another from #48 to #62 before making the trade.

Yes, many people have rude replies to these types of threads/posts but every year we see dozens of unrealistic trade ideas where fans want to get something they really like (players/picks) for something they want to get rid of anyway (disappointing players).

To get a good response on trade ideas it's best to give examples of similar trades. If the idea is posted here that means the poster has access to Google...

He's had 2 years. Played in 27 games. 4 sacks, 46 tackles. One sack about every 7 games, 1.70 tackles a game.

He's had plenty of time to develop, if he's going to.

If he doesn't show marked improvement, he'll be a late pre-season cut....

A 1st rounder DE heading into his third season who has shown some promise, historically speaking, fetches more than a player that team plans on cutting.

Idk why you posted the rest of that.

Cowboys and Raiders beat writer Marcus Mosher was the one who came up with this idea of trading we with the Bucs, not google.

2018:
Browns trade former 2nd rounder Deshone Kizer for starting CB Damarious Randall after one year in Cleaveland

Browns trade former 1st rounder Danny Shelton for 3rd rounder after three seasons with Browns.
2017:
Former 1st rounder Kelvin Benjamin traded for a 3rd and 7th after three seasons with Panthers

Former 4th rounder and starter Jay Ajayi traded for a 4th rounder after two and half seasons with Dolphons

Former 1st rounder Cameron Erving who was the worst graded Olineman in two of his seasons was traded to the Chiefs for a 5th.

Thank we can all agree those are much more indicative of the situation we are in then random trades the Cowboys have been apart of that have no similarity to the subject at hand.

And trading Taco for either of those players who will likely get cut, isn't unrealistic.

IMO if anyone is getting moved from the 2017 draft it's Lewis.
Especially if M. Jackson looks good in TC/PS.

I would like to keep Taco for 1 more year, maybe he finally turn it around

me too
he showed some signs in the beginning of 2018
he got injured and had to have shoulder surgery so injury had something to do with it, for whatever it is worth

We might be able to trade Taco for McCoy's jock strap. As for Brate, I'm not sure he would be an upgrade.

JPP ... wasn't he the genius who lost fingers in a fireworks injury?

I know what he's done. And you can not name a single 4-3 defensive end taken after taco with better production.
