so am I the only one who misses the helmet cart....each time had one.
and I will never give up on the return of the helmet phones on draft day.

and will NFLSHOP PLEASE......PLEASE.....BRING BACK THE HELMET LAMPS AND HELMET ALARM CLOCKS!!!!!

Very true about the chop block, and some teams had relied on it. If you're not athletic enough to stop your opponent from getting to your QB, just chop him down. It caused a lot of injuries and it made some offenses better than they would have been. Buh-bye to that.

My old hs coach called it "Bronco Blocking"
One remedy was to jump and land with a foot stomping across the back of the linemans neck.

These are some of the changes I don't like. Back in the day, you had to be a tough guy to play QB. Tom Brady would have retired 10 years ago if the rules did not protect him. Today, if you even look at Brady with intent, the refs throw a flag. That is not football to me.
Yup, I know I'm in the minority. I'm not one who gets a strange enjoyment out of watching people get injured.

However, what happened is that D players started getting bigger and faster. They started hitting the QB's so hard, that at one point 2/3rds of the starting NFL QB's were on IR. Something had to be done.
