Here is what is funny...I hear stuff like this....and I laugh out loud....and here is why. Because I have taken snaps under center. I've been under fire. I see the reads that should have been made...the mistakes...the check downs. The audibles @ the line that should have been made...yet our dumb *** QB that has been in the league now going on 4 years continues to make the same mistakes. He should be able to anticipate plays by now...instead...he still is slow to process information...as if he is still a rookie...having to think about it..and it's his first time seeing stuff defenses throw @ him.

And he misses throws that honestly...a high school QB could make.

Wanna know what made Dak successful that first year?

Because when he got into a pinch...and didn't know what to do....He would tuck the football...and run. Which planted the seed of doubt in a defense. What is he gonna do?

Now...you got a guy hell bent on proving he can be a pocket passer....which he is still slow to process information...and is consistantly late making throws....makes horrible decisions because he is fooled w/ coverages. He thinks he's seeing one thing...only to get fooled with something else...and that my friend comes from not studying a playbook like an NFL QB should.
Thanks for the insight, or confirmation haha. Nothing like a QB that read a defense and shred.

The real question is....would a team take our crappy starting QB? I seriously doubt it....

You might not like QB4, but you've gotta be pretty one sided or have a heavy agenda to call him crappy. I'm not a huge Dak fan , and wish he could be more consistent. Remember he's still freeking pretty young also. But to call Dak crappy is ignorant!!! It gives those people who lead their conversations with Cowboys fans suck, some validity.

He's a troll. Typical dumbed down fan who says "omgzz Dak sucks, trade him, hurrr durrrr". Pathetic.

I'd trade him either Looney or Su'a Filo today for Karl Joseph if that who they were actually calling about.

But I don't see why it would be Collins at this point. They have both of their starting tackle and have invested heavily in both. Left guard is their weak spot.

And LG is where we have an abundance.

Joe Looney for Karl Joseph
My trades involve the Cowboys receiving a tight end.

If trading an O lineman for a tight end, Collins to the Giants for Evan Engram

If trading a d lineman for a tight end, Taco to the Bucs for the Bama kid tight end...

I don’t want to trade any OL until training camp is at least under way. There’s too many unknowns regarding the health of Frederick and Smith. I imagine both will be fine but we don’t know that. Plus, you never know about training camp injuries. If we trade away a quality OL and suffer injuries and or health concerns, the OL could rapidly go from a deep group to thin. Plus, as has been stated, other teams will suffer TC injuries and could make our linemen even more valuable in a trade at that time. I agree we’re not going to be able to keep all of them, but the FO needs to wait before they pull the trigger on a trade.

LOL. Sign me up for either of those, but there’s no chance either team trades those two TEs. Tampa could be interested in trading Brate, and I’d be interested in that.

Quote from Stephen Jones:
"We've already started getting a few calls, people needing things and knowing that we might need, thinking we might need, a safety. Would we be willing to trade this player for that player?

I think this is going to pay for us. We're not in any hurry. We feel good about our safety position. Now we've just got to keep working. I think that says a lot. We've got some really good football players. I love Jerry's famous line. You keep strong at a position by drafting into a position of strength.' That's what we did with McGovern. I think we've got some real depth there in the offensive line, not to mention many other positions.'

"Not just anyone fits, as we all know, what we're trying as an organization to get accomplished at that position. A lot of people may say there is this safety, that safety. It's got to be a safety that works for us. We'll just continue to work through that. We're not going to be in any hurry. As I said, we're comfortable with the guys we have. We know we can go out and play really good defense with the guys we have and it's going to be interesting to see how some of these new guys compete with the older group.''

Translation: We are not trading for anybody. We are going to sit here and pat ourselves on the back because teams think we have some talent on our roster.

Well yes I think they were stupid in the draft...but that's besides the point.

Slight improvement is improvement, but that doesn't necessarily translate to winning. The biggest complaint against Heath is always that he misses tackles. So you get a guy who misses 5 fewer? What's the difference? At the cost it would take, there's no reason to do it.
They will release him, so let’s be patient.

"Dumb" is a blanket statement that says "There is not one safety in the league we could, in practicality, trade for who would make a difference for this team."

That's "dumb".
I mean, you can't name one.

Well what started as a thread about trades and in particular for a safety has turned into another bash Dak thread as usual. As a fan for longer than anyone on this board, it is not surprising about wanting something (safety) that probably never happens and two bashing the current QB. Once Dak has his new contract for somewhere between 5 and 10 years, it will only ramp up those that dislike Dak.

Have to wonder, if all the guys that like Dak didn't respond to the hate Dak threads and all the guys that hate Dak didn't respond to those that like Dak, would we have only half as many threads to comment on. Just saying!

I'd much rather trade talent from the defensive line than from the offensive line , specifically Taco Charlton.

Let's face it, the team missed terribly on that pick, and it's time that they and everyone else holding out, admit it. TJ Watt was the correct pick and they blew it. And everything they've done since shows that they realize that, but their pride won't allow them to say it. But they've since drafted Armstrong, traded for Quinn, signed Lawrence to a monster contract, and drafted not one, but two defensive ends this year. Actions, not words.

Charlton has no future here and he may not even have a present. If someone is looking to trade a safety to us, they can have Taco.

Collins, Brown, Lewis and a 5th for Joseph, Conley and a 3rd.

Much better trade to make.

Conley would be my target
