Afternoon Pops and friends. They've been showing Houston, Coachopolis and RGV Town on the Weather Channel. Get those inner tubes filled and grab the sunscreen. Everyone will have lake front property soon. They didn't forget you, Colo. Snow in May? DANG!

Hoping everyone is safe and well. Have a good Wednesday.
LMAO at Coachopolis.

Morning, Pops and pen pals. I woke up feeling happier than normal and I'm not sure why. Maybe something good is in store for me. We have had rain five out of the last seven days and a 25% chance of more today. The ground is soaked. Y'all have a nice day and I'll get some more coffee.

Speaking of direwolves, and you were, I thought they were supposed to be a lot bigger. I think Ghost was the runt of the litter, and that's why the bass turd son got him, but still, I think he should be bigger. Maybe they just made him the runt so he could have a more prevalent presence on screen?
I thought he was bigger and once he went into battle, I didn't see him again, didn't see him come back with the others or I missed it. He could have snuck in under darkness before I started jacking with my Backlight on the TV. Who produces TV shows that need settings adjustment and doesn't let people know?

Exactly! The director, or whatever he is claims it's not his fault people have their TVs on the wrong settings. Everything else I've ever watched looked great!

I do remember thinking, "Oh hey, Ghost is here!", when they first showed him. Was he hanging out with the Night's Watch guy who showed up, and whose name I don't know? You know, the one that died helping Sam get his useless butt of the ground in the battle.

They wanted to rip The Meg off by making you think the dog got it and then having him show up at the end so we got all giddy. Because one thing I did not want to see was Ghost awakened by the Night King and thought that might be coming.

Morning Pops. Morning Fellas and good morning to all who stop in and visit this thread.

Like many of you, we have rain here as well. Hoping that it's nice for Sunday, I know that it's going to be tough to BBQ for Mother's Day if we continue to see the rain.

It's Thursday and we are almost half way through it already, so that's a good deal!

Jobs, Leon, dbrp, Xelda, zrin, Trouty, ksk, RGV, Coach, RWB, Ranching, SW, John, Jan, Corso and Colo, hope all of you are good.

Everybody, have a great day and an even better evening!

I actually thought it would be Arya's wolf who would show up reanimated......and thanks for the spoiler to a movie I'll probably never watch anyway.

Sorry but I thought you'd fret all the way through a movie about a prehistoric shark, the best actor in the movie btw and he was over the top CGI, about a little Yorkie swimming around in the ocean. I await Meganado with baited breath.

Even in the trailer it looked terrible, and didn't seem like a good role for Jason Statham (It is him, right?)

Yep and I like him but this was a job for the money. He had to be laughing to himself on payday.

But in defense of the producers, if people will pay money to see Sharkanado, why not go for it? I will say this for them, they did a hell of a lot better job on the shark than was done in "The Shallows", at the end, I thought I was watching "Finding Dory".

Nothing riles me like bad CGI. Peter Jackson ruining "The Hobbit" by creating a cartoon Smaug with that budget was unforgivable. "GoT" and "Dragonslayer" did far superior and much more threatening dragons.

Part of the reason Smaug was cartoonish is the same reason as Dragonheart. He had to have believable mouth movement when speaking. I'd prefer if they just endowed certain creatures with telepathy, but maybe that's just me.

Afternoon Pops and friends. I'm trying to make the most of this day by not taking a nap. We've got more rain moving back in. I guess it would be inappropriate to power wash my driveway, but all my other ideas can be done any time of day or night. The Griswolds put up tiki torches in with their Christmas lights and flowers. I wasn't sure if I told y'all already and it's better to repeat myself than to read back several pages. The Muslims put up more Christmas lights after the torches came out. I think I'll make some popcorn and watch the neighbors after I decide to power wash or not to power wash.

On that Meg movie, save the Yorkie!!!!! and feeding that shark some lawyers and criminals. If the indigestion doesn't kill him, then feed him politicians. If that doesn't kill him, he truly deserves to be at the top of the food chain.

Evening Pops and everyone.

I'm 'like'ing all your post about these shows I haven't seen as there's just enough information there for me to swap out names of family, co-workers and certain clients and make myself laugh in a very evil way. Thanks for the lift:thumbup:. I needed it after another one of THOSE weeks. :confused:One. More. Day.

Have a GREAT rest of your night, one and all.

If you're swapping out names without having seen the show, you are going to have a blast seeing some of these characters if you do watch it. Just don't accidentally call anyone by these names. One actor was so hated for his role that he's no longer an actor. Not a single redeeming quality in that character. I'd try to strangle him at Krogers if he crossed my path. If I were in a benevolent mood, he'd just get plastered with produce. Fortunately, he doesn't live in my area.

Ironic, because I instantly had 3 people come to mind when you mentioned strangling... good thing I don't follow through on a lot of my thoughts...

Morning, Pops and pen pals. TGIF! We are supposed to play golf this morning but more rain is forecast. I'm sure I'll find plenty of other things to do if we don't play. I'm going to build a water wall and am trying to decide what materials I want to use. I'm leaning towards stacked stone at the present but I've seen some that use tempered glass that are very nice and are easily backlit. Have a fine day!

Morning Pops and drenched cellmates. Been reading about the trouble up Gramma's way and the mayor of that town where the casino was flooded is calling for some river research because they've been getting that 100 year flood every 2 years and smaller ones in between. Those pics that she posted of Davenport is just the tip of the iceberg. I wonder at what point we accept that all of this technology we are so keen on should be out to work on how to build better levees.

The forecast here has been modified down from load the liquor on the arc to a 40% chance of rain instead of those frog chokers. And you can bet they're breathing a sigh of relief as that bridge that was washed away in October is almost ready to open.

I hope all of you celebrating Mothers Day have a great one. If you are fortunate enough to still have your Mom with you, give her an extra hug and tell her that's from me. Man, what I wouldn't give for just 5 minutes to tell my Mom just how much she meant to me.

And speaking of telling people what they mean to you, and I was, don't just limit that to Moms because no one ever gets enough of that. Nothing fills the soul like being told you matter in someone's life so let those people know your life wouldn't be what it is without them in it. Unless you're having a really bad day and then it might sound like blame.
