Both were beyond horrible, he was attempting to play fast and failing. The notes weren't clean and nothing I heard had any musical or scale structure whatsoever. I know people bag on Yngwie for playing fast but he pretty much has had the same technical ability since the 1st recording I have heard of him in 79 which would have put him around 15-16 years old. He has probably the best vibrato I have heard, can play very fast as well as articulate and clean. This guy above was beyond horrible.

Had to share this, all of around 15 years old and already had total command of the instrument. You can definitely hear the Ritchie Blackmore and Uli Jon Roth in his playing.

Yeah, Yngwie does get a bad rap for playing too fast as a show-off, but he's a good guitar player. There's a point to his solos. If you can create a solo that moves people with emotion, then whether it's fast, slow, or a combo of that, it's a good solo. It should enhance the song. Yngwie does that, using a lot of speed in the process. The loon in the clips I posted just bombards you with a mess of notes. It's garbage.

Yngwie is one of the greatest guitar players who ever lived.

Yep, at the time of this recording it was much more technically advanced than anything EVH was doing. Guy is a straight up monster and has probably the best vibrato I have ever heard.

Love how he does the pinch harmonic followed by the pick slide/open string/harmonics/feedback to end it.:laugh::laugh::laugh:I have seen a lot of horrible players on YT and this takes the cake.

LOL, it's pretty bad. But you can learn from bad players just like you can learn from good ones. The bad ones show you what not to do.
