Hill would work in just about any defensive scheme.
Once he learns better discipline, recognition, hand-fighting and using counter-weights for better balance...
But he has the tools and those things, hopefully, will come quickly with good instruction and experience.

I can honestly see some OC's use his burst against him, this coming year, until he learns to harness it into intelligent movement.

More like, do you want a 6'4", 257lb guy at your DT positions this day and age?
No matter the skill level.
He brought up Randy White because that's the only player Landry allowed to play DT at such a light weight. He thought by doing so, it would detract from my statement and make me look foolish... in his obvious defense of Marinelli. Problem with his defense of both the player and D-Coordinator is that Landry was a genius at picking D-linemen and calling a defense because that was his forté. Plus, Randy White "the Manster" was a total freak of nature. Marinelli is not in Landry's league.

I don’t post much, because I really enjoy reading the post more, lots of insightful football fans here on the forum. I will say this Tristan Hill will be a difference maker on the defensive line if he can stay healthy.
I really don't know anything except from articles & highlight reels about him, but I'm climbing onto his bandwagon already.

Marinelli should have been fired after the Rams disaster.

He basically skated.

Antwuan Woods had a shoulder injury early in that game that he played through the whole game, then had surgery. The other DT was Maliek Collins who had been playing injured all year and aggravated the injury in practice that week, both guys were probably playing at 50% in that game.

I wasn't aware DCs could lay their hands on players and heal them like Jesus.

As I recall, Landry first had White slated for linebacker because he thought he was too small to be DT. The LB experiment was a failure forcing them to try him at DT.
