MRI For Rookie RB Weber (May 11)

Rookie running back Mike Weber will have his knee re-evaluated after hurting it in Saturday morning’s jog-through minicamp practice. He did not participate in the afternoon practice.

“They’re going to get an MRI and just kind of check it out,” head coach Jason Garrett said.

The seventh-round pick did jog back onto the field to rejoin his teammates late in the morning workout.

Weber, one of two running backs in this year's draft class along with fourth-round pick Tony Pollard, has a chance to compete for the backup spot to Ezekiel Elliott, who was Weber's college teammate for one season at Ohio State.

Well, he is kind of standing there looking glum this morning. Not sure if this is before or after.

Either 32 just woke up or he got a hold of some good weed.

Red flag -- if he got his knee hurt in a walkthrough, it seems clear the team should hang on to the RBs they have in reserve. :omg:

Historically, our FO has been totally willing to accommodate injured players. Here's hoping they'll know enough to harbor backups.

Didn’t see this anywhere yesterday, but this was from Albert Breers mmqb column today

4. The Cowboys dodged a bullet with seventh-round RB Mike Weber, who tweaked his knee on the first day of rookie camp and required an MRI. Weber, who actually practiced on Sunday, has also has more of a shot at making an impact than most players drafted in the seventh round. The Cowboys are gearing up to have fourth-round pick Tony Pollard complement Zeke Elliott, but the battle for the third spot on the depth chart is wide open. Weber is a more traditional tailback than Pollard (more of a slash-type player), which gives him the chance to add some value to the roster depth-wise.

I powerlifted for over 20 years and had very few bad injuries. Once I quit I have sustained several bad injuries. I am rehabbing my right elbow now. Was glueing a piece of PVC pipe and tore my triceps tendon completely off the elbow. Lol. It’s from lifting all the heavy weights when younger.

Anyone seem Ronnie Coleman lately.

Thanks. Here’s more confirm. Can’t believe none of the beat writers/tweeters didn’t have this sooner.
