Freeman signed his contract in 2017, it made him the highest paid RB at the time, but he's still 4th this coming season.
Ryan signed a a 5yr/$150 million contract last year, which made him the highest paid player in the NFL, at the time, still 4th highest this coming season.

So yeah, it was wrong when they said Atlanta had zero. They made two of them not just top 10, but highest paid at their positions and they are going to make Julio the highest paid at his position.

Bolded. I’m confused. They and I said Atlanta didn’t have zero. Said they had all 3 in the top 10 at their position and were the only team.

The Cowboys will always be banging their heads at against the salary cap. Just because they draft players with high sparq scores. These players "wow" on film then we have to pay them for their "wow-ness."

Patriots ideology; Stay big and physical on defense while having a pure pocket passing franchise QB.

Cowboys ideology; Just draft players with high sparq scores.

We pay more and lose more than they do.
That is a bunch of nonsense

SPARQ scores have nothing to do with 2nd contracts

Your sentiment makes complete sense at this moment but getting stuck if Dak doesn’t take the next step, Zeke loses a step and Cooper is off snd on like Raiders does make a difference. As I said in the original message you DONT have to pay them all to win and teams have proven that. But I’m sure we will
I am not being smart when I say 'Don't be Scared'

The guys we have deserve their new deals....we drafted well and need to trust our eyes

Building thru FA is not any cheaper or safer

We will not be "Stuck" .....all contracts are just temporary... the bigger they are the more space they create when you end them

The Cap is very close to being irreverent

When the cap was 120m six years ago a QB making 15% only left 102m for the rest of the team
Now if the QB makes 15% on a 200m cap that leaves 170m for the rest of the team

That’s what I thought. I mentioned Atlanta with period and then started with NE. If reading fast it happens. Cheers

The Ticket...and I’m sure many heard this...just had a piece on our salary issues. There was a lot of info so I’ll make it short.

In the NFL there is only 1 team paying their offensive triplets top 10 salaries in the league..Atlanta. New England and many others have zero. As an offense as a whole NE has 1. We have 5 I believe with 3 on the O line. (Driving kids to school so correct me if I git that wrong). If we pay Coop and Dak top cash we will have 7, highest in league.

Basically we are the full damn and need to win now or this things bursts

And if wondering NE has zero on D

I'm not a capologist but there are a couple of lads on here that do a decent job of it. @Nightman is one of them

Irreverent yes as in not too serious. Irrelevant, somewhat

they are just better at team football than anyone else and still went 10 years without winning a SB with Tom Brady

Better at team football is an understatement. Of the 17 years Brady has played (not counting 2008) the Patriots went to the Super Bowl 9 times and missed it 8 times. Missed the playoffs once. Ridiculous.

Opinions vary. If a player "wows" on film then they will carry a lot of hoopla with them. And then we have to pay them for their hoopla.
If they are 'wowing' on film in the NFL then they are genuine stars

It has nothing to do with 40 scores and vertical leaps

This isn't a fanboy fantasy football auction

That is BS

Actually that's not bs...it's known.
You think Tom Brady is taking less money?? Bull...he's got a private company he owns that works for the Patriots.

They don't cheat the cap

But if they did and got away with it then it our fault for letting it happen

You should shown your proof to Goodell

OK, I give. But like I said opinions vary. I guess what I'm trying to say is some players, because they are super athletic, will demand more than a lesser athlete even though they have the same to similar stats. High sparq scores mean high athleticism, which could lead us to paying more.

sparq scores mean less and less the more tape and time a player has in the NFL. It does become more about stats, production and consistency. If you have two players with similar stats, then yeah you would typically take the more athletic of the two. Stats can be somewhat misleading too, since they can be skewed by circumstances or simply fluke years (Hurns fluke year with Jags comes to mind). The more time a player has in the league the more you look at their consistency and less at their potential.

That would be true in most cases but our DE/DT Crawford comes to mind. Some second contracts are still about potential. All contracts are a crap shoot I guess. Brandon Carr proved that.
