Would Deion be in the Hall of Fame if he had stayed in Atlanta instead of blazing a path for Kevin Durant by going championship hunting with SF and Dallas?
I don't think so. What say you?
He was a talent like no other at his position. I totally think he'd been Hall of Fame material wherever he was

But that is Deion in Atlanta. He was awesome.
Still didn't help them win more games in total. Just pick on the other guy.

NFLN re-broadcast the week 17 1991 game against Atlanta who had both Sanders and Tim McKyer and I am watching it now.

On the first drive, Michael Irvin lit up McKyer for a 60 yard TD.

I will let you know what Deion Sanders did that helped the Falcons in this game (we won).

But that’s like saying Joe Thomas shouldn’t sniff the Hall of fame because he did a poor job of winning games....

Kevin Durant wasn’t the 1st NBA player to change teams in order to increase his odds at a title.

Kobe Bryant demanded a trade from the Lakers when he couldn’t compete after the Shaq trade... then took it back when they stole Pau Gasol from Memphis.

Lakers gave them Kwame Brown, which they wanted for his expiring contract, and Marc Gasol, who became a stud for them. Javaris Crittenton who at the time was a recent former 1st round pg drafted, and Lakers also gave uo 2 future 1st round pics (2008 & 2010).

Just curious man, are there Cowboys fans on your forum? I find it so odd that a fan of another team would take time out of his day to read and comment on multiple threads on another teams forum. Is it cause we’re the Cowboys and we matter that much?

From time to time I’ll go on the forum of the team we’re playing that week during the regular to see what they’re saying about playing us. But I don’t think I could ever spend this much time and energy on any forum not meant for my team.

I’m not even trying to argue lol just really curious lol I’m having a hard time finding finding the logic behind being this present on a rival forum.

I can be your curiosity. Maybe I’m just cut from a different cloth.

Not really.

Great individual contributor, just like a tackle. And worthy of a yellow jacket.

Just commenting on his overall impact to wins.

LeBron changed teams TWICE in order to better his chances at winning.

Karl Malone and Gary Payton teamed up with Shaq and Kobe on the Lakers for a shot at a title.

Etc etc etc.

Lebron started the arms race when he teamed up with Wade and Bosh, he did it again with Kyrie and Love. At the time he did that no other team had 3 all stars. .
Some say "how could he go to the team that he had down 3-1" but ask yourself this, was that okc team going to beat the Cavs? No.
All Durant did was play the game by the rules Lebron made

I cheered when he played. But he holds no value to me post-game. In fact, I don't think he was a real Cowboy. He was a mercenary.
I don't particularly like him even now. I cheered for him when he was a Cowboy and appreciated what he did for us but the guy is just so unlikable.

Still watching this Atlanta game and he does not leave his RCB spot.

Lined up on Alvin Harper and still hand checks a guy that really had a limited route tree. And he comes out the game in short yardage.

Irvin just whipped him for 14 on a simple slant. Brushed off his stab and first down.

I cheered when he played in Dallas. But he holds no value to me post-game. I hate his views as an analyst. He is pretty ignorant sometimes.

I remember when Deion Sanders. Said to Emmitt Smith what is it the money. Dion I couldn't stand him. But no way would I not want him on my team

If Deion isn't a HOF CB...then I don't know what the hell a CB should look like.

The deal was made because Jerry West was running the Grizzlies front office and wanted to help out his former draft pick (Kobe) and his former team, period.

Nobody even knew Pau Gasol was available. Popovich was livid about it afterwards.

https://www.si.com/nba/2008/02/08/popovich-grizzlies

“What they did in Memphis is beyond comprehension," said Popovich. "There should be a trade committee that can scratch all trades that make no sense. I just wish I had been on a trade committee that oversees NBA trades. I'd like to elect myself to that committee. I would have voted no to the L.A. trade."

Yes, Marc Gasol became a stud, but that’s besides the point. He was a nobody at the time and had very little trade value.
