His double duty as CB and PR would have probably gotten him in, SF and DAL were willing to open the bank to get him. He was a self-promoter and show off so the visibility would have been high had he stayed in ATL.

However, I would argue that neither team needed him to win those rings. They were good enough without him and all he did was add some spice to a dish already 5 star. He was the best player on the Falcons but not on either SF or DAL.

Probably. Irvin schooled him good in their first game. Deion could fly, and would have made a decent WR... oh wait, he did. Couldn't tackle for crap and was an absolute annoyance to Aikman on the practice field. One thing, his contract started us down the road to perdition. Great player and I'll reserve comment on anything else

When did irvin school him ?

And please dont start again with the 94 nfc championship game. In this game Deion covered irvin only 3 times. 1 for an int, 2nd for a pass break up and one for a 10 yd completion.

LeBron didn’t start it either, but yes, he preceded KD’s move. It’s hilarious that LeBron said, “I’ve never been part of a superteam” after the 2017 Finals.

Draymond Green at the 2017 championship parade: “YOU STARTED THE SUPERTEAMS, BRO!”

When? The first game He and Deion faced each other. Irvin made him look like a child CB. Notice Irvin on the right blocking for E

I say a big fat YES and he still would have been a first ballot Hall of Famer. He pretty much had a Hall of Fame career in Atlanta. The 5 years Dieon was in Atlanta he had 24 INT’s with three pick sixes. He had 5 returns for touchdowns on kick offs and punts. He was sensational in Atlanta which is why the 49ers, Cowboys and Commanders paid him all that money.
Even though I said no, it was in jest. I hate emoticons. He is one of the best and I loved it when he played for Dallas. Shutdown DB.

I still say a big fat NO!! :p

Growing up in the DC area, Darrell Green was given a ridiculous amount of love in the local media and also national media going all the way up to Madden & Summerall. Green was great but not better than Deion. I mean DG get's a lot of credit for playing for one team, playing for as long as he did. But you guys have to remember Irvin owned him and really let the cat out of the bag on how to beat him back in 1991. Please go watch that game.. the one where we ended the Skins undefeated season. Aikman to Irvin, Beurlein to Irvin.
Plus DG was never the type of shutdown corner that Deion was. He never shut down half the field even to the level of Revis Island.
Great player, HOF'er not better than Deion. Reputation of speed made people spin tall tales.
Like I said, Deion was a better cover CB which is the most important feature of a CB when taking the #1 WR out of the game. he was also a great punt returner.
