well good take 22 mil earn your new elite status and they can tear that up in 3yrs and get you your payday..talk is cheap asking for 30 is not showing you want to be here forever..SEE Tom Brady, hes aging and was going to be replaced , decided to make it tough only taking 19mil and no demands or ego.. SBs galore..dont want to hear what his wife makes thats NOT the point, 19mil single or married sets you up FOR LIFE... the contract would be done if he asked for 25mil instead of 30..CBFL well take less...uts not like you will be in the porr house Dak, we have less tax in TX, cheaper real estate and the DC str affords you more side money..so w t f is the hold up MR Cowboy? that goes for Zeke and Amari, well I dont expect Amari to do it hes not drfted Cowboy but really its not dalk hating iwant to keep all our homegrown stars and have team to put around them.. tired of hearing BS.. if you cant live on 25 and bet on yourself 3yrs from now same as RW did, you really are about money not about the STAR..:starspin:
Dak didn't ask for 30 million. It was offered.

This era includes more than last 3 years.

And I see Dak as the guy without Elliott and or Cooper.

And 9-7 and 10-6 is pretty close to average. 13-3 more of a fluke.
Incorrect again. You can make up your own interpretations, but it doesn't make it a fact.
An era is a series of years. We're currently in the Prescott era.

Now you're attempting to change the argument to "pretty close."

I wonder what Dak's market value would be if he was an unrestricted free agent?

If Nick Foles got 88 Million over 4 years at age 30 after a mixed bag career, you have to think Dak would get something like the numbers being talked about in the OP.

When I say Mediocre era. I’m lumping them all together. The Romo era. Dak era. All lumped in. It’s looking much the same to me.

Youre welcome to define as you wish if it doesn’t fit your narrative. Ha

Perhaps I should lump it all in Mediocre Century. Would you like that better? Lol

Well your simply wrong, neither era was mediocre. They are both above average. A definition is what it is, not what you make up. Just admit to being wrong and move on. I'm not defining things how I wish, I'm using the actual definition you refuse to use.

From ESPN, these are not the comments of a guy who is playing hardball in negotiations:

"I mean, I want to be a Cowboy forever," Prescott said Wednesday night at Dr Pepper Ballpark, where he and his teammates were raising money for the Salvation Army through the Reliant Home Run Derby. "I think the people that are doing the deal feel the same way, so to me, it's no rush. I know it will get done."

"It's all generational money, life-changing money, so it's just a blessing to be able to be in this position," Prescott said. "But as far as the numbers are concerned, my focus is on the locker room, and that will all take care of itself."

lol he would stay for league minimal...its been a long long time since such a limited talented player held the most prestigious job in the NFL......:omg:

8-8 is mediocre by definition. Stop making up your own.
Not 13-3, 9-7, or 10-6.
22nd in passing = mediocre to bad. Just tag him to verify he continues to improve as a passer. Some QBs do really improve drastically in their 4th seasons. Still like the kid for his other intangibles and would still need to find a replacement if there isn't improvement this season. I get QBs are just being overpaid in general, I just want a better QB, regardless of money. 22nd in passing w/Zeke and Coop aint cutting it.

Barely above average is what I’d describe as Mediocre. I know just a few years ago we were about .500 this Century. Perhaps we’ve climbed barely above it. Regardless , this Century to date is worst era in Cowboys history.

You’re welcome to Slobber over the Dak era with some of the other Groupies if you like. Lol

I'm stating facts about the Romo and Prescott era. Your disgusting jab is childish. If you choose to ignore facts I don't really care. You're just spewing inaccurate nonsense.
Moving the goalposts again - "This century." Wrong again. This century we're 24 games over .500, but don't let facts get in the way of your BS.

Tom Brady didn't take a penny under the market rate until his THIRD big contract. He signed at a salary below market rate after banking two big contracts, endorsement deals that were worth more than that, and marrying someone worth 400 MIllion. His family probably had 700 million in the bank when he signed his current contract, Dak has made 2.7 Million in his career so far.

Being set for life isn't the point, if Prescott takes a horrible contract he is still set for life. That's why he was quoted saying exactly that in the OP article.

The point is that Dak is saying the right things. They may well have been written for him by a PR Agency but he isn't playing hardball like some knuckleheads do in the same situation.
wrong he didnt LIKE Big Ben and RW come ask for more.. hes been underpaid for 4years or more..hes the only one that deserves 40 brah..hes got the hardware,.yet hes making 19,why he could have simply said I want to be the highest paid at all times, put it in his contract 1$ more after every new QB is signed more then himself.. Brady is taking huge paycut and just going about his business..single or married the dudes RICH and thats the point..

If dak came in and said ill take 25 over 3/4years and lest revisit after 3 , then hed already be locked up.they are squeezing for max dollars..so bullhockie he wants to be a Cowboy for life, Brady is a Patriot for life and showed it by taking less then he deserves..

How much did RW take his second contract? Foles this time? we all know the idiotic MARKET value but Daks not in the 30 market hes in the 25 market and just because some teams were dumb enough to pay Cousins, Carr, and Garoppolo way too much, doesnt mean we need to..25-27 lets just get it done..if not hes Money For life Cowboys second..he wont starve at 25 mil per and big guarantees, bet on himself to get to Elite hes spewing all over..dont pay for potential; Pay for results, I like dak but when I hear the BS about Cowboy for life yet hes not signed because hes pushing for bigger money, well im not sold..

Brady has been in the league for 18 years and if he has been underpaid for the last 4, its because he made his money in those first..... let me check my notes..... FOURTEEN SEASONS.

:lmao2:What will even be more fun to watch is if Dallas does want to make the deal to have Dak for life. What if they come up with a 10 year deal at $30 million a year with $85 million in guarantees and then roster bonus after year 4 depending on him making the roster. Could you see this board light up like the biggest Christmas tree ever, OMG the moderators would die trying to keep up with all the Dak threads. Would probably have to make a Dak forum.:lmao2:
I don't think too many people will vent.

Most people like myself already know that the writing is on the wall and would just be internally disappointed as this roster is absolutely loaded as it has been for the past three seasons, arguably the best roster we have had for circa. twenty years. But there is a ceiling unless the defense can became the best in the league. It was rated around the top 6 level last season.
