This should pretty much silence those Dak critics, especially since a QB's performance matters most during the playoffs. I mean... like your link just showed... Dak had the highest QBR during the playoffs...by far, yet some will doubt him. Unbelievable.

Keep in mind that QBR doesn't take into account plays he should have tried to make rather than play it safe. Anyone can have a stellar QBR if they don't make attempts.

That being said, he sucked in the first half against the Rams, but made up for it in the second half. All the QBRs in the most recent playoff games of all teams really shows is that it takes a team to win and it takes a team to lose.
I don't get why some people hate Dak though. I guess they don't like the style of game he plays when they're used to more of a long air attack. Dak fits more of a West coast offense though.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Two separate Prescott vs. Wentz threads at the top of the message board.

Wow.

But they played much better under carson in 2017 than Nick, so -_o_-

People talk about how great Nick was in the super bowl, but the defense and offense were much better earlier in the season. We almost lost to the falcons in the divisional round, whereas Carson had us at 11-2 and pummeling atlanta-level mediocre teams.

And I know it's convenient to pile on Carson, but most other players would get benefit of the doubt coming back early from a double ligament tear.
The team didn't play better under Wentz compared to Foles. Foles lit it up in the playoffs on trade Superbowl run and last year went into Chicago and beat them. He also had Philly up on the Saints.......remember what happened when Wentz played the Saints last year?

Wentz IS a franchise QB who struggled with lousy receivers, then excelled with very good ones and the best TEs in the league. There’s nothing wrong with that. Injuries? Sure, but his full potential has not been reached.

Dak is not the same type QB as Wentz, not the same arm, certainly hasn’t had the same defense or receivers/TEs....while Wentz hasn’t had the same run game as Dak, Dak hasn’t played in the same type offense.

Dak is also a franchise QB. Everyone sees it except a few sour Cowboys fans. He’s not the same type QB as Wentz. Staubach wasn’t the same as Bradshaw; Aikman wasn’t the same as Favre; Romo wasn’t the same as Brady or Rodgers.

Anyone who argues that Dak or Wentz aren’t franchise QBs usually has an agenda he refuses to let go of.
One can have more talent than the other. One can be more clutch than the other. One may be a better leader. One may put up better stats. I can accept both sides of any argument on which QB is best.

But both are franchise QBs, and neither has reached his ceiling or his prime.

It is being rumored that Wentz contract extension will be at $30 mill year (same as Dak rumored #s). If that happens then the implosion can not happen soon enough with Jones running the Dallas Cowboys. Wentz is MVP type QB when healthy and Dak if everything on earth breaks right for him could make pro-bowl.

We are going to find out very shortly if Jerry & Stephan are simply incompetent and more concerned with locking up guys they like (to insane contracts) just because they toe the company line.

LOL.........man, everything must keep breaking right for Dak then because he keeps making the pro bowl.

Dak actually has more. Dak: 2. Wentz: 1
LOLOLOL STOP Dak got in based on default ...like 7 other Qbs refused to play in it (some know it is not worth it and some mad at the game like Brees). If Dak would have refused they would have had to call Eli. That is how low down the list he was. ProBowl has no meaning now and hasn't in 10-15 years. Rings is all that matters now and Dak doesn't have one and he didn't set the table for one either.

Wentz has more to prove than Prescott. Prescott may improve, but we pretty much know what we have. He hasn't missed a single game, a criticism of his predecessor.
Wentz has been injury prone since college. In N.D. State, he broke his wrist and had surgery, fractured ribs the following year, blew his knee out the year after that and now his back injury.

I think that's significant.

I'm not really a fan of either QB but let get serious, what they hell has Wentz done besides WOW you with his arm and get injured?

Dispite what you believe he is, he still hasnt done nothing. And even if you say he would have went to the SB had he stayed healthy, we dont know that he would even had he did stay healthy.

For all we know Foles could have been the only reason while Wentz could have been the reason the eagles were eliminated had he stayed healthy.

Wentz still hasnt done nothing but keep praising him. MVP type QB? Your opinion and who cares?

Dak went to the probowl, I dont care. He still hasnt done much.

If Wentz didn't get hurt in 2017, he's probably the league MVP, definitely finishing in the Top 3. Go back and read stories of his play before he got hurt and he was easily one of the favorites for MVP that year before he busted his knee on a weird QB sneak.

Granted, getting hurt is a big deal so you can't ignore that. I heard a beat writer here in Philly say that he'd be really careful about paying Wentz big money right now.......... the injury risk is just too great at this point.

I tend to agree.

I was very bullish on Wentz his first two years, especially after what likely could have been a MVP year in 2017. But getting hurt, again, in his 3rd year was like sucking the oxygen out of the room full of fire. You can no longer ignore his injury issues. They are real. Now maybe he stays healthy this year and has a phenomenal year. But at this point, he has to prove that.

Dak has a ceiling, which is lower than Wentz................ if Wentz can/could stay healthy. But for now, he hasn't, so his ceiling is kind of meaningless at this point, at least until he can string together a healthy and good year.

Steve Beurlein would be considered a franchise QB today. Carson Wentz couldn't even carry his Jock strap. Foles is a much better comp to him.
