Funny how time changes perception of things.

The Murray fumble resulted in a FG to make it 14-10. Dallas then went up 21-13 on the heels of a 25 yard run by Murray to set up his own one yard plunge.

I think this is the first time I have watched the game from start to finish again since and I could have sworn Murray's fumble came a little later and resulted in Dallas losing the lead or something.

Hanna whiffing on the Cobb fumble hurt.

That Murray fumble was the game, man.

Caught GB in the perfect defense and hit em with playbook perfect blocking. Demarco had nothing but space to run. That safety had no shot tackling him in the open field. What a strip by Peppers.
Yup, that game was over if he had broken that run. What could have been..

Lots of ghosts of season's past in this one. Just saw the immortal Lance Dunbar. Perhaps if they had used that weapon more in this game, things might have been different.

He is the posterchild for a Marinelli lineman.

Talent be damned. Apparently flailing around with no plan from whistle to whistle works for him.

He was only a Marinelli guy based on effort. He was not really what Marinelli wanted in terms of skill set. Marinelli ideally likes DTs that are quick and can penetrate.

Watching it again, I am not so sure anymore.

It is a legend that grew as a result of the pain of the loss. Just like the Crayton drop in the 2nd quarter of the Giants game that people swore would have changed the game.

So why did he stick with him virtually unopposed for three full seasons and 47 starts? Sounds like if he was not really what he wanted he would have got himself another guy.

You forgot about the Grand Poobah of JAGs, Nick Hayden. The man never came off the field and was beyond mediocre.

Cowboys vs. Green Bay 2014 Playoff Game
Terrell McClain was out on an already thin dline rotation. We went to the game with only 8 dlinemen.

2 players never played another NFL snap.
4 more were out of the league by the end of the next season.
All these rejects accounted for 3 100% positions on the dline for that game.

Really? I haven't watched the game since then but I remember a big hole and a great play by Peppers. What are you seeing now? My eyes have deceived me before so I'm not saying you're wrong. Really curious though.

The Devante Adams TD on 3rd and 15 was the true momentum shifter. Maybe this is why they soured on Sterling Moore. He completely blew it and then Adams faked J.J. Wilcox out of his jock to skip in for the TD.

Worse was Crayton's pull up on the 2nd to the last play of the game. Tony got the ball over the defender into the end zone. Crayton didn't get himself under it. Inexplicably pulled up on the route.

That's how close we were to winning that one.

That defense was trash. I know a lot of people think we would have just rolled Seattle like we did earlier in the season, but that defense was very very bad. They really should have lost to Detroit too, if we want to be honest.

I am watching it for comparative purposes. It is interesting how many clear and obvious talent holes were on that team. Pretty awful DL, especially inside, weak LBers, no-name secondary. Pretty much a mess on defense. Offense was probably at the peak efficiency of the Romo/Witten/Bryant era. OL as well.

The team was totally carried by the offense that year. People look at total yardage given up to say that the defense wasn't so bad, but they should try looking at per drive stats and get back to us.

Terrell McClain missing the game really hurt.

Packers lead 26-21, Murray busts a run to midfield with 8 minutes left.

Why am I watching this?
