Sorry I had to do it. But with Zeke's history don't be surprised if this becomes our reality. I personally would prefer Pollard over Weber. Thoughts?

Zeke's history is that he had one 6 game suspension in 2017 and otherwise has been available to play in the other 45 games in his career (inclusive of playoff games).

One 6 game suspension.....for something that the NFLs investigators could not prove was true. Hopefully Pollard has big boy cleats ready.

If Zeke gets suspended, this is the way I would go. Our whole offense is based around a powerful run game. I am not taking my chances on our 4th and 7th rounders.

The irony here is that Jay Ajayi was selected in the 5th round, is often injured and has
a reputation for not being a coachable player. Not to mention, he's currently looking
for his third team in his short career.

Yes, and maybe it wasn't right, but let's not act as if that is something that happens frequently with Zeke, or that the NFL is going to suspend Zeke again if he so much as gets a parking ticket. There is no ongoing pattern with the NFL and Zeke like some seem to think.

Im just stating that his history has not been good with suspension as not being close to fair. Which I think most football fans in general would agree with.

Not even sure he makes the 53
Seriously you do not think Pollard is going to make the team? The guy is a beast in the return game. Offensively, he is as good of a receiver as he is a runner and runs with power when need be. Could be the steal of the draft if Zeke misses games and definitely an upgrade to our backups over the last 3-4 years.

Since it's premature to come to conclusions who to prefer for the RB honors, let's be aware that Zeke may or may not be involved in the decision involving who is to be eliminated from consideration and who isn't. Sounds like somebody is anxious to eliminate Zeke from consideration.

How's his blitz up? That's my only question. I dont want a starting RB that's ineffective at picking up blitzes.

He did an extensive amount of blocking in college. More of it was run blocking than pass blocking but he can do both. It might look ugly on occasion but he gets the job done.

Based on what I know so far about our back ups I choose Pollard....IF Zeke misses games.

I just think the word "history" suggests there is a pattern, when in fact it was just one suspension. That said, if were talking about this at the same time a year ago, the suspension would have still been very recent, so maybe there would be a little more apprehension, but with the team having played 20 games since the suspension ended I'm not of a mind that it is still a big concern.

I certainly get the need for a strong backup RB who can step in if needed, regardless of why he may be needed.

Just FYI Pollard has 4.5 speed according to NFL.com draft profiles.
the other part of the story was that Pollard had food poisoning (or some illness) during the combine. So, yes, this is technically true but he did run much faster at his pro day which was more in line with what the tape says.
