As long as marijuana possession and its use remain a crime in most states and — more importantly — a federal crime, the NFL isn’t gonna invite challenges to their anti-trust exemption by aggressively bucking the status quo.

They may look into the pot issue, as this article says, but don’t hold your breath while expecting meaningful changes any time soon.
Exactly!

Ahhh.
The magical medicinal quality of marijuana.
It's amazing that everyone that's for it just happens to smoke it for recreational use.
If it passes you tweekers can start crying about medicinal meth.you are next in line.

yes but its slowly being decriminalized in cities all over. Right now in Philly you could have a Oz on you and only get a ticket. Soon it will not be a jailable offense " they are working on it" to have not sure what ammount. As soon as Big Pharma get their hands on it ... it will all change

I haven't smoked it in 30 years and I'm for it.

Comparing marijuana to meth is one of the silliest things I've read here today. Well done.

Marijuana use can lead to heart attacks as one gets older, especially those with heart disease or high cholesterol.

I cant imagine any smoke that you inhale and hold in your lungs actually not causing some damage over time. However, to be fair you'd have to also include the damage that is done by the more traditional meds. Marijuana vs Opiates isnt even close. We'd all be healthier if we ate fruit and vegetables, lean meats and drank 8 bottles of water a day as well. But realistically thats not happening and people are going to seek therapies for what ails them.

Everything that damages the human body, is the devil to ur body. Just because someone takes , lets say Tylenol like I do, doesn't make weed ok. Weed is horrible for ur body in many many ways. Look up the research. May not be as bad as alcohol, but its bad. I have to be around drug users all the time due to my job, and I can tell u there's a price to weed smoking as well as all drug use. Regular users of weed start experiencing mental problems, depression, loss of initiative , paranoia, bad memory, lung cancer, learning disabilities, and many other problems like it being a gateway drug and it is. I have family and friends that use it and the long term consequences aren't pretty. It sent my sister down the road of no return as others I know. If this is a price ur willing to pay, I guess so be it, but it's a selfish habit that takes a toll on everyone. I use Tylenol only because I need it, but have refused all other medications offered to me and I could qualify for most with my horrendous back. I refuse to add to my problems and societies if it can be avoided at all. I have also swam laps for 30 years every night to avoid more drugs or surgery. Two wrongs don't make a right, and adding to ur problems is just dumb. With that being daid, if beer is legal, there's no good consistent argument to keeping weed illegal. But the issue should be , why do we allow alcohol to be legal with the damage it does? Comparing weed to alcohol is comparing a mobster to a drug dealer. Both are bad. And the nfl supports the promotion of alcohol which is hypocritical. This is all illogical reasoning and corruption on the part of the league and govt.

Sounds like smoking weed actually causes more harm?
