Denial is not having the facts
What "facts" do you have about Zeke's drug use.

I'll wait.

You're in a state of denial thinking you have some grand insight to Zeke's life. None of us know anything, and small glimpses mean absolutely nothing.

That is no excuse...... assault is assault

If a woman calls him that can he hit her too..... no he can't
He shouldn’t be pushing or hitting anyone. Words are no excuse and alcohol is no excuse for it.

That being said I will say that the guard using those type of words is really pushing it also. Not called for and no excuse for that either. If he used those words and Elliot is drunk then it’s kind of restraint on Elliot’s part for not hitting him. Those things can escalate quickly.

Elliott said there were drugs involved when he was having problems with his live in girlfriend. That doesn't make him an addict.

That said, I agree, we don't know what his personal life is like unless it's caught on video. And therein lies the problem, he's made himself very recognizable so when he does go out, the Spielberg's are all ready to catch him and some coin for the video.

Elliott is a target now and he needs to understand that and try keeping a low profile because too many times it isn't how it is, it's how it looks.

Geeze, I see some of these comments on here and I get to thinking there are a lot of participation trophy award winners in their youth in here. Guard didn't press charges, he got let go. The girl should leave him and stay away. As well as other girls should until he sobers up and becomes a man.

He, and other athletes, are under no obligation to worry about that. How it looks only matters insofar as how much fans like him, and he doesn't need to care about that.

Fans need to realize that a lot of players do not care that fans exist, let alone whether or not they like them.

They cut out all the context lmao.

What happened in the 30 seconds before he bumped into the security guard? We don't know, because they edited that out. I'd say that matters.

The excuse making is now getting pretty entertaining.

It's not excuse-making. It's that you and me don't know what happened leading up to that incident, and the video is edited specifically like that.

At no point did I say that Zeke was justified in doing that, that he wasn't a jerk, whatever. What I am saying is that you and I don't know, and the video editing makes it that way very much on purpose.

We actually have a pretty decent idea what happened based on Elliott's own words. He turns and approaches the security guard and says something like, "Oh you have something to say"? So clearly there was no physical contact prior to that between the security guard and Elliott. Worst case, the security guard mouthed off to him. That's no excuse for Elliott to act like a dip****.

And we also have the benefit of knowing that Elliott has a history of acting like a knucklehead so the odds are pretty damn good he likely was the one who overreacted here.

That changes as one matures. When you get older like me, 10pm is the new 2am cuz you stay up that late, you are definitely up to sumthin' if you ain't in a recliner.

Some never grow up. Idiots and police are out and about at 2 am and then tend to meet up at some point. I don't expect players to live like monks on the other hand I don't expect them to get into altercation that can cost them and their team.

"Pretty decent idea" translates to "I have no clue"

Agree but when you consider the % that gets highlighted by the media against the entire NFL population, that's probably less than the national average.

What irritates me is that they inflate this for dramatic effect like ESPN turning over the entire pregame to discuss one player, Ray Rice, that had committed DV as if this was a NFL runaway problem. When I need the likes of that panel to be my moral compass, I am cashing in my chips. When Cris Carter becomes my conscience, I will be done.

The problem, as I see it, isn't players breaking rules because we've always had that but the media jumping the stump and trying to make it into something that it isn't. On the day Rice and his fiancée were in that elevator, how many other players were not beating on their girlfriends, fiancée's or wives?

If Zeke is suspended for what happened then I should get a benching for doing the same thing my avatar is doing at this moment in time

Cheers
