This is a failed point.

Outside of Brady which QB can you show me that has played so great with a bad level of talent around him?
Donovan McNabb before T.O.

Dak has room to improve and become that QB that plays great with a bad level of talent around him. Or he could play himself into backup duties like Mark Sanchez. Nothing is set in stone, but I figure we'd all like the talent around Dak to be the best it can be. With 37 free agents after the 2019 season and huge contracts about to be handed out over the next three years. I dont know which way this team is headed. We could be going back to 8-8, or keep plugging ahead with 10 win seasons. Only time will tell.

Stats without context do not mean very much ...... Like Bradford in 2017 when his stats looked off the charts like 80% completion this and that ... until you saw that it was all from dump offs and 5 yards or less. Dak is a decent enough QB and could win a SB . But he is a product of the team built around him. We have all seen what happens when he loses a cog in the wheel. Dak has been lucky to have not to many injuries to key guys.

I'm not saying he IS Brady. I'm saying - and these stats show - that for the period of time he had Amari Cooper, he had better overall more stats than Brady did. That's all that I'm - and this thread - are saying.

And that's highly encouraging.

Dak played better than Brady because Dak has Garrett and Brady is stuck with that bum Belichek. Brady wouldn't have lost all those superbowls with Garrett on his sideline. Just my humble opinion.

They aren't comparing him to Brady as he is good as Brady. They are showing numbers that prove Dak isn't garbage like some on here want to say. Is Dak elite.... No not yet but he is a very good QB that will continue to get better.

I am a big Dak supporter. Love the guy. I just think any comparison to Brady should be tabled.

Exactly. Fans don’t understand that the process is ongoing. Garrett will eventually be finding a bigger house to hold all those rings.

And people got mad at me for saying Cowboys would regret paying Dak.
You can twist numbers to push any narrative you want. Just watch the two play and then tell me Dak played better.

So think about what you're saying, what you "watch" somehow carries more weight than unbiased numbers do?

Which QB’s team won the most recent SB...and which one’s couldn’t get outta the div round? Is that current enough for you?

The only stat that really matters is the final score.

The final offensive score*

Unless you think Brady went out there an played defense to hold the Rams to 3 points, while our D gave up 30.

Is that simple enough for you?

Exactly.

And these numbers show that he compared favorably over this period of time to the greatest quarterback to ever play.

With the greatest ever in his 19th year in the league versus Dak being in his third.

It should be cause for encouragement and optimism, but instead, some want to treat it as yet something else to get mad about and attack the numbers.

Yeah. I was thinking Brady beat the Rams while Dak was sacked by his own lineman. lol Of course Dak is better than Brady. Just think how many more super bowl wins Brady would have with Zeke and the #1 Rusher of the NFL on his team.

"Context" was clearly provided. It was during the period of time that the Cowboys acquired an actual #1 receiver. That's the only sample size available before the 2019 season.

Hopefully this shows up right. I’m terrible with images

come on another stat comparisons...

OK, Dak needed a top 5 WR and Zeke, the best RB in the NFL to just be equal to brady....in the mean time Brady had Edleman.

what do you think Brady would have done if he had Cooper and Zeke? we know the answer to that...he had Moss for one year and they set an all time record offensively and went undefeated in the regular season..

again, in the meantime, Dak has #1 RB and top 5 WR and he can only muster stats that equal to Brady with average players around him.

Dak needs strong supporting cast to be any good. Brady lifts the players around them and makes them better.

this was a dumb post

like I said....Dak needed a top 5 WR and #1RB just so he can have comparable stats to Brady.....Brady had Edleman a slot WR....

give Cooper and Zeke to Brady and he will double those stats....seriously dudes

I don't care what anybody says, it's impressive that Dak Prescott - once he got a capable wide receiver - put up better overall numbers than the greatest quarterback of all time, for ANY period of time.

That a guy in his 3rd year at the pro level could even comes close to a guy that's been in the league for going on 20 years now.

And if you can't give him some measure of credit for that? Check yourself. Because it's not "him", it's "you".
yeah. lets give Dak Edleman and Sony Mitchel and lets see how he does? we know that answer, its the first 8 games pre-cooper.

Patriots had more rushing yards than the Cowboys last season LMAO
And that's with Dak being a runner, and Brady being a statue.
So a veryyyyyy flawed point to say the least.

And no Brady eidnt "beat the Rams" with 13 points. The Patriots beat the Rams.

how did DAk the great do in the championship game, the super bowl? Yes Dak is greater than Brady, football withdrawal is in full affect. Dak has yet to win anything and you are comparing him to a 9 time super bowl starting QB. Dak isn't even a JAG compared to TB and your post is a epic fail.
