I heard on the radio today, someone said that if the Cowboys stay put at say $26mil, Dak will take it because of the breadcrumbs he has made so far. He has never had a "bird in the hand" so although he could maybe make more else where, he will take that substantial pay increase.

Which is right around what Dak is or should be. Dak was/is valuable on his rookie deal. He will be an albatross around the team’s neck at $20+ million a year. He simply isn’t good enough at playing QB to lift or carry a team. Maybe if he could play quarters 1-3 the way he plays quarter #4, it could be a different story but until he does that, he isn’t worth the contract he’s about to get.

If you think that's true you aren't paying attention to the NFL and the QB position. The top QBs do not represent the bulk of the QB position, and in fact they only represent a small fraction of it, and fans have to understand that if they want to have a fair discussion. There are a lot more QBs below Dak's level that have an NFL roster spot than there are above him, and even among NFL starters it can easily be argued there are anywhere from 15-20 that are below him. If you want to pay $10 million below market value there is no question the QB position for the Cowboys would take a major hit.

At least with Dak we have won for 3 years in a row, and was robbed by Goodell of making the playoffs for 3 in a row.

I think Kitna will help Dak, and with a new playbook if Moore is all that. Many will be pleasantly surprised this year.

Dak is the Quincy type. Hell a case could be made Quincy was better. Look @ the cast of clowns he had to work with..and made it to the playoffs. ...compared to all the first round talent Dak has...and is gonna squander. Too bad Quincy's undoing was the powder.
