I haven’t heard any news about commemorating this season ?

Back in 2009 we chose not to celebrate our 50th anniversary season with the rest of NFL teams which begun in 1960 because it conflicted with Jerry’s “ inaugural “ celebration in new stadium.

And so he chose 2010 as our 50th Anniversary after receiving so much criticism for not celebrating appropriately. Maybe he’s still a year behind?

You’d think it’d be an opportunity to sell some gear and promote the Star as we did after 25,40 and 51.

I agree - would love to buy some gear myself with an anniversary logo on it or something to that effect.

I doubt Jerry cares as much as he leads on about the Cowboys' very storied history. In his mind, because he's won 3 Super Bowls under his watch, he probably finds it to be unimportant.

Even though it will technically be the 61st season, I’ll wager Jerry pulls out all the stops for 2020 as the celebration year.

He certainly didn’t think the 50th season was important.

I argued for almost an entire year on the old Cowboys forum with Slobbering Jerry fans who actually argued it wasn’t our 50th season in 2009.

Jerry never admitted the Gaff but we all knew he was more interested in promoting his new stadium than the history of the Cowboys.

Jerry could have done the new stadium and the 50th year in a joint celebration.
And made more from that strategy.
But no, they did not hire me to give them this idea. Just goes to show you how much Jerry really knows. :lmao:

I remember Hostile was very hostile about the 50th being celebrated in the 51st.

For the 60th season we should wear the white jersey with the blue shoulders that we would wear at times during the 90s

Like this throwback with the stars?

It's my favorite jersey!

Jerry has never seemed to be that proud of anything prior to February 25, 1989. Other than the big guys like Roger and Bob Lily, you almost never hear or see Jerry pay much attention to things before he took over.

Jerry is an ego maniac.
