The realist in me say 8 sacks this year.

But if this defense catapults to the levels it has the potential too.. I could easily see double digit sacks for Quinn and Lawrence.

To answer the question: I’ll take the Under.

Mainly because of how Marenilli likes to rotate players, I feel they’ll try to keep Quinn fresh throughout the year and use him mainly on passing down which limits his opportunities. Guys like Taco, Armstrong, Crawford, and possibly Gregory.. will get there chances too.

IMO Quinn was our best FA pick up and should have major impact. I think he can pull off 10 sacks this season. Thoughts?

In every season where he has played all 16 games (except last year), he has had at least 10 sacks. The problem is that last year was the first year he played in all 16 games since 2014. He did play in 15 in 2017, though, and got close to 10 sacks (8.5), so for the past two years he's been relatively healthy.

So yes, I believe he can get 10-plus if he plays in all 16 games, like he did from 2012-2014. Even in those two injury-shortened seasons, he got about half as many sacks (4 and 5) in half as many games, so we have a pretty consistent pattern, with 19 sacks in 2013 and 6.5 sacks last year being exceptions (along with his first year when he only started 1 of 15 games and had five sacks).

Under. I expect Gregory back at some point and I think Armstrong may surprise this year at RDE.
If Gregory is back Armstrong may not make the team. Also, Quinn is a much better pass rusher than Gregory.

1. Odds are RG will probably be suspended to start the year. I doubt they give up Armstrong that fast, especially since he made the team last year with RG still on it. Joe Jackson seems to have real upside if tapped correctly, but seems like he'll need some time to adapt. We'll see how it goes in TC.
2. The Cowboys FO still likes Gregory, so he will still be given pass rushing snaps next year, granted if he's reinstated. Quinn had 6.5 sacks last year. 1 in the first 9 games, and then 5.5 in the last 7. Gregory had 6 sacks. I know the advanced stats showed Quinn was effective at creating pressure but RG showed last year he still had that ability that made him one of the best pass rushers from the 2015 draft.

I'd say he will be around 7 sacks.

This D Line has a history of not being available because of injuries and suspensions so I am not going to hype these guys up at all until the pads come on and the season begins.

he should fall in the 6-8 sack catagory by regular seasons end, hopefully more if you add in the post season.

This.

I think this is the most logical. Lawrence will get his and I’m excited to see Hill work with these guys.
