Who wears 41 for the Cowboys. They need to give it up. Likely not gonna make the team since I dont know who it is.

Remember last camp when Dak was raving about Tavon Austin?

I always listen when players give praise about other players (as opposed to media hype), but Austin didn't really deliver. I'm taking the Pollard comments with a grain of salt until we see it in games, but it's nice to hear the buzz early. I liked the pick for us at the time, and he's a guy you can tell they're really going to use to disguise plays for other players, regardless of what he produces himself directly. I hope he can improve with his pass blocking, since that's going to be the case and it's going to be important.
I remember last year they were talking about how nobody could cover Beasley so I'm with you on holding off judgement until I see it in real games.

My least favorite draft pick.
Tavon Austin was already on the roster

We should be reading how good that CB from the University of Houston is looking out there in shorts instead

Blue and Silver blinders for me plz

Seems odd that they practice with helmets but no pads. Anyone know why that is (the helmet part not the pads)?

Probably protection from inadvertent hits to the head. Players running and such, maybe an elbow accidentally could hit the head.
Or if tripped up, as not to hit their head on the ground.

LB Queiro. Short undersize for a LB, as they also had him listed as a S last year, but a bit oversize for a s.
One of those tweener's. Supposedly some on the staff likes him, but probably just media hype. Was on PS last season for a while.

As someone who has seen a lot of Memphis Tigers football over the last few years I'm a believer in Pollard. He's not going to be an every down guy, but he will make an impact as a 3rd down rb/return specialist.

Queiro was a safety in college, Cowboys signed him as a LB. Broaddus claims he and Olumba were showing well in practices last season.

Players like that will always do well with no pads on.

When I was in high school there were guys during the offseason that dominated practice but when the pass came on you never heard a peep.

It was usually the Dlineman and WRs.

If you were starting a flag football league then guys like Tavon Austin would have more value.

That’s why I don’t get excited when I hear about guys like Pollard or Cobb looking unbelievable in these settings. These quick fast guys are in an optimal environment.

Yep. It's a bigger deal if they're not tearing it up before they can be hit.

The problem with judging from OTA's is that the defense can't tackle, so they have to hold back while the RB can go full speed without worry.

It's not about if he is good, it's about we now know he can hold a football in his hands and run at the same time. If they suspend Zeke, this could be very important in the future.

Agreed. Pass blocking is something that most college RBs are obliged to improve upon during their introduction into the pro ranks. I'm pretty darn encouraged to see that Pollard is impressing those who see him in the minicamps and OTAs but of course, that's just a good start, if nothing else. Here's hoping those good impressions will continue as the season gets closer. It looks like Kellen may have someone available to help his cause.
