Yeah I was wondering where this confidence in MJ came from. I have confidence in Lewis and Brown because I’ve seen them do it. Until MJ does it he still has to at least make this team IMO.
That's what I was going to say!!!! MJ may not make this team, we don't know yet.

i never understood why they tried to force jones into safety anyway. it just seems we draft a CB and people go nuts saying CONVERT TO SAFETY!!!
Same reason that Earl Thomas, Malcolm Jenkins, Devin McCourty, Glover Quinn, and Lamarcus Joyner were forced into S.

It's like people don't even know that college CB's are switched to S all the time and that Byron played almost as much S as he did CB in college.

it's like you don't even realize i'm not just talking about jones...

i suppose i could go make a list of players that were forced into (S) positions and didn't do well so switched back and start with jones. would that help?

Thank goodness Dak is extremely durable.

Can you imagine how much it would affect the whole team if Dak went down with a serious injury... and either Cooper Rush or Mike White had to run the offense? Oouuff!!! Game/Season over.

I was going to make a bold predictions thread, and one of my predictions is that Mike White will be a future starter in this league. It won't happen here (unless Dak is injured) but I believe it will happen. White has good size at 6-4, a strong arm and showed pretty good awareness, accuracy and mobility last preseason as he settled in.

From what I've read from OTAs, he already was taking No. 2 QB snaps over Rush. I expect a really good preseason from him. That might lead to some trade offers, but I don't think we'll trade him this year.

Exactly. Its nothing to see a 4th round pick cut or put on the practice squad.

Not saying he won't....but there are a bunch of Mike White's in this league that go on to become nothing. Only way to know is it to see what he does against legit competition. His immobility I think will hinder him.

That's why I consider it a bold prediction. I think he's got it as a quarterback, but admit that we did not see enough of him last preseason to truly determine that ... and it was just his rookie year. Hopefully, our depth at receiver and the offensive line is going to allow us to be able to truly gauge his play. Sometimes the backup offensive lines are so bad that all our backup QBs are able to do during the preseason is run for their lives.

A lot of people though that when Romo then Moore. Season was over when Dak had to step in. 13-3, ya it was over!

Agreed on Mike White being a better QB than Orange Crush. It would be nice if Mike White could become the Danny White to today's Staubach (Dak).

Google- foo sez' it's a 1 to 8 week recovery time for that flat triangle shaped hip flexor muscle that helps raise the leg to mend. ,,,er,,,or at least that's what it was saying last night anyway

Good thing DAL has good depth at CB.
AB
JD
Goodwin
Olumba
MJ
DeCoud
Westry...that still leaves 7 CBs.

I can see DAL keeping as many as 6 CBs. This time is huge for these young guys trying to make an impression. Goodwin may be gone for a younger player.

Note: When the pads come on then we'll know about these young CBs...MJ n Westry had some issues tackling during college. Contrarily, DAL CBs are good tacklers.

True but I think as a quarterback you should stand out. We saw Cooper Rush stand out two years ago as did Dak. You don't grade them on the same scale you would if someone had their starters out there but I Think you need to see something.

Injuries are bound to happen in pro football but of course, some more than others. Awuzie's got plenty of talent when healthy. Hopefully, he'll recover and return to form in due time. Right now, thankfully, there's enough talent on hand to replace him with Jourdan Lewis and Mike Jackson to fill in. Let's hope they'll stay healthy until Awuzie returns to his old self again. Gotta wonder if they'll bring another somebody in, just in case.

It would be a shame for the curse of Morris Claiborne to linger over this franchise and Chidobe, he's talented enough to be a good NFL corner, here's hoping he's durable enough.
Best wishes #24 :flagwave:

Speaking of...MC....I think we should go get him. Think of it this way...Chidobe + Mo...might get you through the year together @ left CB.
