You have no idea what you speak of - the "4th rounder" holds the NCAA record for kickoff returns for TDs and that's after opponents stopped kicking to him at all last year. The kid lines up at RB, in the slot and as a wideout. He is a solid young guy and has had to work for everything he's ever gotten. I watched TP for his time here at Memphis and he can cover ground .. very quickly as well as go over the middle and make contested catches.

As I recall, Tom Brady wasn't a high round grab either. Let it play out.

Kickoffs...... Thats your argument? Nothing could be more irrelevent in todays NFL than kickoffs.

My God, the guy had ONE nice run through the line with NO tackling or pads and everyone cant stop talking about it. LOL

Certainly one of the most annoying things from OTA's
I think that is part of the reason for ota and TC, and PS , is to get fans hopes and dreams and fantasies up high as possible.
Sell some gear , fill up the stadiums, and forget all the real issues lol.
And the players get some exercise, and a little work.

I think it is all quite boring, would rather watch old games.

I agree with you relative to KOs but - the fact that TP is the record holder does indicate a modicum of speed, elusiveness and operating well in space .. rather well, I'd say.

Never said he was a slug. My comment is just stating the obvious. He's a 4th round pick from a weak football program. Expectations for this kid are being blown out of proportion b/c we happened to draft him.

Homer: He’s going to be better than Zeke.

Reg fan: He looks good. I think he’ll help on offense this year.

Realist: Our defense sucks.
Our defense doesn't suck. We finally have a defensive tackle in a defensive line with rotation.

Cowboy fan : May be able to spell Zeke without big drop off in production . Could improve a nonexistent return game . Front office got ahead of overloading Zeke and his possible off field problems before disaster struck . Looks like a wise pick so far.

Don't disagree with you because as we all know, the proof will be in the pudding. We're all aware of countless high-round guys who never made it in the League and conversely the low-rounders who excelled. It will all play out. But before you start jumping on the "Weak Program" TP came from ... need to get a little better grip because that's the kind of offense you're about to see run in Big D ... That weak program doesn't have any issue at all scoring points against anyone ... even the so-called "Big Boys." However, it is admittedly heartbreaking to lose 56-52. I'm hoping that our D in Big D can reverse that trend.

The offense though, if utilized correctly will put points on the board.

Big kickoff returns have cost us a few games the past couple of years.
They have? I don't think big kickoff returns have cost us a single game over the last couple years. Looking back further...

In the 2017 Rams game, Dallas gave up a 66-yard return to the Dallas 35. The ensuing drive ended in a FG, cutting our lead to 10-6 early in the second quarter. We went up 17-6 on the next drive, but ended up losing by 5. That's the closest case in "the past couple of years."
In the second 2015 Giants game, Dallas gave up a TD return to our old friend Dwayne Harris to give the Giants a 27-20 lead halfway through the 4th quarter. That was the final score.

So you need to go back 4 years to find a case where you can make a strong argument that a kickoff return cost us the game.

Any offense "if utilized correctly" will put points on the board. lol
