You may think that's what you are seeing but it is much more than that.

If you've got a defense or defensive back who is really good at bump and run coverage, you may want to stack your receivers so that it's harder to get a jam on them at the line of scrimmage. Yes it's much more than that I understand that. Just trying to make a simple statement. Without writing a book. But I appreciate your reply

If a defense is playing tight in the box to take away the inside run, you may want to motion the tight end out wide to pull away the safety.

Those things are not disguise, they are scheme.

Year after year with Dez Bryant, we kept him on the outside even when he went up against a corner his equal on a team that doesn't have their corners follow a receiver. There were only two reasons not to move him into the slot in such games, either he couldn't play out of the slot or our offensive minds weren't willing to scheme him open.

There was a play that Bill Parcells liked that I also liked. It wasn't one you use all the time, but every now and then, he'd roll the quarterback to his right, have the tight end fake and cut block and then head out to his left for a wide-open throw across the field. That's scheme.

In the playoffs, the Rams continually faked the reverse to Cooks to suck our linebackers and safeties to the outside some and then ran up the middle. That's a product of scheme and disguise. The two work hand in hand. The better the scheme for the defense you are facing, the more effective the disguise.

I hope he continues to improve and helps win a Super Bowl. Still don't want to over pay him or Zeke or Cooper, etc and hurt our cap space!

Well he may be , I dont know him personally and I doubt you do either.
I dont idolize him, or have a bromance with witten or other players, evidently you do.
I dont understand idolizing and defending guys you dont even know.
What I said wasnt bad at all, yet you were offended. I find it peculiar and amusing.

That’s a very strange take. We’ve got fifteen years of worth of evidence of his character and the way he carries himself. It doesn’t take a bromance or idolization to form an opinion. I wasn’t offended on the slightest just struck me as a silly thing to suggest. Glad you’re amused though. You seem to amuse easily

I hope so much it has. I've been a huge critic of it, with much scrutiny.
His rookie year was smothered with Romo in his ear. You could see it on field from half to half.

I'm glad Kitna is there to continue that mentoring. I think it is something he has lacked from year one.
This is a fan fallacy. Sanchez and Moore are the ones credited with mentoring Dak. Romo was spending most of his time rehabbing his back.

Really rooting for Dak this year, I think he’s going to turn some heads from the reports I’ve read. Now if only zeke could screw his head on tighter we’d be set.

Outside of his testiness, Prescott remained sharp. That touchdown to Cobb was a perfect example of him reading and anticipating. He found Cobb wide open with a perfect throw.

It was a continued example of Prescott’s improved confidence, knowledge, accuracy and decision-making that has been on display since the start of OTAs.

Tight end Jason Witten is back with the Cowboys after sitting out last season in retirement. He has certainly noticed a new and improved Prescott.

“He’s always been a great leader and how he’s gone about it, but he sets the tone for this football team and you can see the improvement,” Witten said. “I know I can, from being away for a year, with how much he’s improved with his game as a quarterback.

“I just think, from my perspective, the accuracy has been unbelievable with throwing to us. The velocity on the ball, the anticipation of the throws. We run certain routes and nobody notices it, but that ball is coming out – when you’re coming out of the cut, the ball is already on you.”

There’s mounting evidence of Prescott’s improvement. Not just from one source, but across the board. Everyone is noticing stark improvement.

Dak has not been a practice player, he's always been better in games.

Then why are we 29th in red zone efficiency? Why so many games with so few touchdowns? Why does he fall apart when Zeke is out?

Dak has to improve his pocket presence and accuracy, or it's going to be more of the same. This team struggles too much to score points with the excellent offensive talent it has.

Romo spent a LOT of time during games explaining to Dak the adjustments the other team was making. Sanchez and Moore had no clue about stuff like that back then, or ever in Sanchez' case.

Game prep is easy. Recognizing what is happening as a game unfolds is for the truly gifted.

As Mike Tyson used to say, "Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth."

LOL, no kiddding.

"Yeah, we could probably win a Super Bowl next year, but our QB throws like dog crap."

Probably won't be reading that in any of the 32 NFL camps. Right now, they all think they have the next Joe Montana right now.

But Dak threw some lame ducks in practice before, so if he looks sharper, that can only be a plus.

Yeah, but the local pundits have been saying for years he practices poorly, except for this year. He's a different man this year.
I guess we'll see.
yep a contract year approaches. Hope we see it this year.

Don't mean to discount JW but this is typical of what every receiver will say about his own starting QB, esp..this time of the year.
I'm not going to judge improvement on Dak until after the first 4 reg. season games.

I hope it's true but Yeah, you are right. We'll all see when the QBs take the none contact vests off.

Man, I know Witten isn't the same player he once was.

But he's still better than most tight ends. And I can't wait to see him in this offense..
