Who are all these QBs that should be playing instead of Dak? He is at least a top 15 NFL QB, so if half the teams can’t find someone better why should Dak be on the bench and how is it the Cowboys would somehow have someone immediately better.

If you can’t answer these questions your words are hollow.
Have you considered that maybe teams are too scared (or any other word you'd like to use) to plug in another QB and find out what he's made of? I think teams get too attached, either from draft status or an emotional attachment to character, to simply put in another QB and potentially risk the game. There's 16 games, not a lot, so if they find any glimmer of hope it's a done deal.

Or they try to justify keeping them when they misjudge success as an individual stat. Look at Eli and Joe Flacco. Both have been highly overrated and one was finally released or traded, but the other is being kept around for what reason? Who knows if there could have been a better option. I do feel like in their times no one else was given a chance.

I'm sure others have thought or said what Cole Beasley recently said, players sometimes don't get opportunities due to reasons that have nothing to do with either players' performance. Some teams luck out with finding gems from someone getting hurt, but why does it take that for a special player to actually be noticed?

These are just ideas, as we really have no idea what goes on behind the curtains, but to say an average QB (the protected pet position) can't be replaced by an unknown is wrong. We've seen many instances where you wonder why certain players don't get more playing time and that's only questioning a product that we get to see. What about the times we don't get to judge because we're unaware of a special player and only the team can assess?

A team, rather than a fan, could answer your question. We're only here to root and speculate.

1. Nope no 18 and runs the 29th Red-Zone offense in the NFL.
2.Boys should have signed Foles and that was bargain money he went for.
3.Just my opinion...this is Dak's last chance if he doesn't improve his game Jerry is finally swallowing his massive EGO (Romo Mistake) and going QB shopping.....
4.Better than Dak.hmmmm..well bud at this point this is Zeke's offense (we're 0-7 when he rushes for under 75 yards) having Rush or White given a chance simply won't be a major difference considering how poor our passing game over 5 yards throws... and when you see our long game out there hit me up been forever since we've seen one of those games.....

They're about to sign Dak to a $30 mil or so a year extension, no way will they Cowboys go "QB shopping" after giving Dak tens of millions of dollars in guaranteed money, barring a catastrophic injury.

And for what it's worth, this came up a short time ago. Yeah I know, the person talking about Dak isn't any good either :)facepalm:), but in the interest of showing all viewpoints on Dak:

18 only if you ignore the addition of rushing yardage and TDs and QB rating and winning % over his career.

And even if 18 were accurate, that still would leave 14 teams with lesser QBs, yet you continually say he isn’t even an NFL worthy starter.

One season they had the lower end red zone offense, but you were saying the same before that.

Without question Dak isn’t elite, but love to cherry pick stats and even fabricate them to create a create a point that isn’t really there.

Aaron rodgers is #20 then.
With his 4K Yards, 25 TDS/2 ints.

So Daks better than him, you’re saying.

Teams with bottom end QBs are scared to change? That’s the explanation? Come on ...

But it is true we have less info than the teams. Still, it’s really not that hard to see that while Dak is not a top tier NFL QB he has at least been a solid one relative to other NFL starters, and clearly above many that are starters

I like that Dak is mentally and emotionally strong enough to take the criticism. Pete Carroll allegedly ripped his defense apart because Russell Wilson couldn't take guys pushing back at him.

Real leaders don't crack under pressure.

now maybe Heath can actually break up a redzone play like THAT when it matters. There's a thought Heath.
Oh you mean like x.woods awol from deep safety on gurleys 45 yd playoff Td run

Guar if Heath in his natural fs position, he would've made the tv view at minimum, for sure effected the play

So why pay him 30 million a year?
And leave the cherry's for ben & Jerry I'll go with my eyes over any stats and so far our passing game is non-existent.....unless check-downs are your thing man.....

.

Why pay any of these QBs? That’s just the market. It’s supply and demand. In 2019 $30 million isn’t reserved for the elite of the elite of QBs.

I gave an explanation and example lol. Obviously no team that's bottom feeding is worried about changing their QB

Nope, not used to it. Spent the first 27 years being used to continual playoff appearances and an occasional Super Bowl win. The last 51 have been hard to live with.

Still, each year is different, at least we're not in the Campo years, with several non-playoff years in row.

Did you look at the link I posted? Witten says (and he should know, an NFL tight end for 15 years) Dak's improved a lot, accuracy and such, even in OTAs that's good news.

I've already said several times this year Dak should show what he can do (barring massive injuries to other positions) this year, he's had long enough in the league, he's got a new OC, new quarterback coach and it appears a line with Frederick back, plus a bulked up Williams and a pretty highly rated guard in the draft. If he can't improve at least a noticeable amount, then I'd have to think you may be right.

I just choose to be more hopeful, hang in there guy, I just might be right, ya know!
