Thomas Henderson. Loved me some Hollywood. Too bad he was an idiot.

He was a smart guy, but a completely addictive personality at a time when it wasn't as well understood. Read his book, its a hoot.

I would go with Irvin or Emmitt, but every era had its great. I loved Drew Pearson before, and Prescott and Amari Cooper could become that type as well. Zeke too if he matures some off the field.

1. Emmitt. By far, easily. Elite on and off the field.

2. Romo. The ultimate underdog, played with so much heart and brains and courage. The most unfairly criticized Cowboy of all time, defending him so often made me a bigger and bigger fan of him.

3. Irvin. So much passion.

4. Dorsett. My favorite player when I became a Cowboys fan back in 1982.

5. Roy Williams. He’s ridiculed nowadays, but that period between the 90s dynasty and Romo, the one thing that made the Cowboys fun to watch was seeing Roy absolutely lay the hammer and knock guys out. (And I’m a Sooners fan, so I was so excited to have my favorite OU player become a Dallas Cowboy).

Yeah, Romo and Witten are tied for 2 for me. I actually have to say Dan Bailey would probably be number 4 for me as I was a kicker in HS.

As for current Cowboys, I have to go with Dak. I really like his work ethic, and I think he will be great for us if everything turns out this season as the reports are coming out. Plus, like Romo, he's a bit of an underdog.

After Roger. It is Tony "TD" Dorsett. He won the College Football National Championship in my home town stadium (Super Dome, New Orleans, LA). Then the next year won the NFL Super Bowl on my favorite football team (Dallas Cowboys) at the Super Dome, New Orleans, LA. That year Roger Staubach and Tony Dorsett became the first Heisman Trophy Backfield to win a Super Bowl.

Who is your most favorite player in Cowboys history?

I've gotta go with Emmitt Smith. He was the player that made me a Cowboys fan. Loved watching him play.

I wasn't even going to respond to this thread because there are simply too many. But I was leaning towards one player, and it was Emmitt. A lot of the reason was that, to me, he came out of nowhere. We didn't have the social media back then that we have today. I knew we drafted him, I just never expected him to be that good. After years of great running backs I never expected to be rewarded so soon.
