It was "insulting", but Dak's agents didn't decide to publicly portray it as such, like DL's agents.
Yeah CAA is one of the best agencies. I bet the Jones family told Clarence Hill how much Dak asked for. Jerrah stop buying yachts and energy companies and pay your players.

He has trended down from his rookie season. I don’t think anyone can argue that. He has still had very good moments but he hasn’t lived up to what it looked like he could after his rookie year. If he could play half as good as he does in 4th quarters for entire games, he may be the best qb in the league. That’s what I’m waiting to see.

After Cooper arrived, he completed around 70% pass attempts. With a bad pass blocking OL too.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Yeah, but I think most people expected Wentz’ deal to eclipse Dak’s don’t they? Why does that change just because he signed first?
The fact is then Eagles set the market. Now Prescott has even more leverage than the organization has so willingly let go.

This has to be one of the more botched big money signings in a while.

If dak singed first I figured wentz would get more, kind of how it works. With wentz signing first I expect Dak to get more and deservedly so.

I expected—and expect—Wentz to get more, regardless. I think that’s what most people have expected all along.

Not at all. That's why it was important to sign Dak before Wentz. Regardless of how we or anyone feels about Dak and Wentz...whoever signed last was getting the bigger deal. Then Mariota will get a bigger deal than them....then Goff will get one bigger than them. That's how this has all played out. Whoever signs last will get the biggest contract.

How many teams would pick dak > wentz if everyone redrafted and had a choice of both.
Knowing Wentz's injury history? And how he struggles when facing adversity? I think a lot more will pick Dak than you think. Some teams are idiots so they will chose the one who "looks the part". Wentz has the "look" and size those guys love. The same reason why Jamarcus Russell is a 1st overall pick. The same reason why all of those spares are top picks.

Just tell him you sign or we start to tag you when we have too. Then make him run thirty times a game in the preseason to let him know you mean business. That should help him sign faster for less. Makes me sick seeing the greed of these qbs that hurt the finances of the team. As much as I don't care for Brady, he's smartest QB in the league, play for less, and get to the Superbowl more often. Then Ur worth millions and millions even after U retire due to Ur fame alone.

Make him play out the contract and franchise him next year

The franchise tag will be around 32-34 mill
Why pay him that much guaranteed

If he wants guaranteed money, he can lower his asking price to 26 million/yr

No.

Dak actually deserves to make what Wentz was paid.

He's out produced him in nearly every measurable as a QB, especially the important stats.

Anyone who thinks Dallas will extend Dak for a penny less than what Wentz got is delusional.
I wouldn't say that Dak has clearly outperformed Wentz, but they are comparable. Wentz is a better pure passer and has better big pass play potential than Dak, but Dak brings some things that Wentz does not. The contracts will about the same one way or another. I would have liked Dak demonstrate that his accuracy issues downfield have been minimized before sinking 30m a year into him, but I'll just have to live with that.

Even if Dak is always a Tier 2 QB that is good enough to win, and frankly any time there is a serious post about who we could replace Dak with if we moved on it becomes clear very quickly why the Jones are tying their wagon to Dak.

Dak is NOT worth top 5 QB money....neither is Wentz.

It’s not my money, so don’t care what they give him.

The problem is a huge guaranteed contract (for a guy who isn’t even as good as Tony Romo) will basically hamstring the organization for the next 7 years.

Were you upset when Romo got greedy and signed his second at-the-time franchise record contract extension in 2011, even though injuries were already starting to set in?
