Bull****. My brother who died May 18th smoked pot to relieve pain and increase his appetite. He had cancer. There are a vast number of folks who do the same. Now pull your head out of your ***.
Sorry for your loss.
I'm not going to engage you in this debate because you are too emotionally invested..
You will naturally have a bias.

I have heard players saying they always played while high. I think Irving said it also. Not a good example to use but you get my drift. I don’t see how they could play like that.
In High School, I had strained my back and got prescribed muscle relaxers. They do help, but can make you a little loopy. I shared some with a couple teammates before a game, one of them never expected to see playing time that game, he was a 3rd string RB. The 1st and 2nd string guys got injured in the 1st qtr and he played the rest of the game and he was high as hell and was incredible. He was running past, around people, he was trucking dudes, they couldn't bring him down, the coaches, sidelines, everybody were stunned. It was pretty flipping amazing, the coaches were on the sidelines talking about starting him the next week.

He got more reps in practice, the coaches were excited that maybe we had a new weapon....... He didn't start the next week, but did get subbed in early and got a lot of playing time early, but was back down to 3rd string before the end of the game. I didn't have enough muscle relaxers to spare before that game and he looked like his old self. The coaches weren't sure what to make of it and just chalked up that one good game to a fluke, the other team wasn't prepared etc. A handful of us knew the real reason, but we weren't talking.....lol

It appears the effect of "reefer madness" continues to this day. Every day employers welcome to their business employees who consumed alcohol the night before. No one is suggesting players smoke during practice or in games. Moderation and common sense must be included in this equation.
Ummm….this is the NFL
I am a smart guy. I really am. That said I am not smart enough to figure out why this guy is even on the roster. Someone please help me understand.

Thank you in advance for your enlightenment.

Thats a really odd reaction to muscle relaxers, but I suppose everyone reacts differently to different chemicals. Ive taken them before and all they've ever done for me is make me sleepy, never really helped with the actual muscle spasms lol.

Your emotional response is not empirical evidence of anything. My condolences, for the loss of your brother.

They helped my spasms, those spasms were a real *****. With him, it made rubbery or something....lol He was making crazy cuts and moves, bouncing off people, knocking other guys down, I have no idea how he kept his balance. Guys had a hard time catching him and when they did they couldn't hold onto him, he was slipping tackles like Houdini.

I'm so sorry to hear about your brother passing. I had a good friend years ago that didn't like the high from pot at all, but started smoking it for the same reasons.
