Oh brother.....I guess it depends totally on his health. All in 2019 "IF" the price is ok. This would make those Jeff Heath Questions go away. I don't get all the heath hate. He's not that bad. he's kinda like a Bill bates....just can't get rid of him. Just keeps playing.

Heath is that bad though. Hes one of the worst safeties in the nfl.. the odds of berry staying healthy are slim though. Hed have to come very cheap.

It’s like this ...... the school “10” begs you to take her to prom and you tell her no so you can go with the nerdy 5.

Ian Rapoport is just using existing information about Berry visiting the Cowboys earlier this year, him still being without a team, the Cowboys still needing a safety and Rap needing a story.
Move along.

Probably doing a favor for Berry's agent as well to keep the insider news flowing. One hand washing the other. Berry's agent gets his name back out there to try to creat interest, and Rapoport keeps one of his sources so he can break news.

maybe, but the fact he has played so little is obviously going to ensure he isnt getting some huge deal... it would incentive based. If he plays, you hit jackpot. No risk IMO.

And it's a deal the player doesn't want to go for, he wants the teams to assume the risk while he gets paid regardless. That's likely why he continues to be available and the only visit he's taken at all was with the Cowboys.

And I think if he doesn't come way down off of the money he expects, he'll end up retired.

Eric Berry is washed up. I'd venture to say we'll likely have better luck with what we have now than Berry.

He played just 3 of 32 games for KC. That's not remotely something that we should be willing to pay for.

Dallas Cowboys reportedly still in the mix for Eric Berry

...Here’s what NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported on the league’s official website about Berry’s current situation and that he believes the Cowboys would still be interested in acquiring the five-time Pro Bowler.

“This really is a situation where if the money had been right early, obviously Eric Berry would have signed. Of course, anybody would have. But since the money was not right … the thought was this would make more sense signing around the start of training camps … Maybe a team that needs a veteran safety still. The Cowboys took a visit from him. I know they’d still be in the mix.”

Berry visited the Cowboys back in March. But it was believed his medicals and price tag likely led to the team passing on the 30-year old. In the past two seasons, Berry has played in a total of three regular season games due to injuries...
Do we need a fragile lad?

i would agree if we had a roster that could eat some bad, right now this roster is holding onto more useless than it can overcome. adding berry right now says two things, "we re not taking the year serious" "hey, whats another old timer who even was a HoF is not getting this team over the hump"

right now Dallas cant do it nor should they.
Adding Eric Berry, on a cheap prove it deal, in June proves we aren't taking the year seriously?

So not making a signing in June means we are serious? This logic makes no sense.

LLLOOOLLL

Do I take that as you are the average disillusioned fans that overrates this team on a yearly basis, or just some sort of satirical statement that realizes that Heath is one of the worst safeties in the league and has cost this franchise multiple games over the years.

Oh, tossing stereotypes about is really doing a lot of work there. I'll take note...for sure.

The latter all the way. He is OK as a come in and then back to the sidelines guy.
