Hopefully that is the end of the Ball to Chicago rumors.

I’d rather swing for the fences (with the most probable outcome of failing) with Reddish than trade for Ball.
Reddish is a guy Im not that down on despite an underwhelming season at Duke. He was a 1st overall possibility only a year ago. Tremendous amount of talent, just may take more patience than normal

Neither could the GSW. I mean unless you're talking about the year when kevin love and kyrie didnt play. But that would mean their championship had an asterisk according to your logic. Which way do you want to go here? Lol. Cant just let me enjoy our first ever championship? You want to crap all over it because of injuries and a certain group of fans?

If you want to enjoy then shut your hole, lol.

You took umbrage with me complementing the Raptors for being a tough, hard-nosed team, accusing me of throwing the entire fanbase under the bus, which is completely bunk.

You’re an over sensitive snowflake. You literally have made up reasons to be offended.

Like I said, enjoy the Championship*. It “counts” but everyone will remember it for for the insurmountable toll of injuries that plagued the Warriors.

Boston yanked Tatum from the table, effectively taking them out of the discussion and basically waving goodbye to Kyrie.

I think if they made the trade, Kyrie stays and despite the talk Davis would have resigned. They basically picked Tatum over Kyrie.

They may trade Horford for Capella if Horford opts in. They supposedly alot of interest in Capella

I think that’s a bit of a gamble on Boston’s part. Tatum took a step back last year.

Bill Simmons, whom I enjoy, but is an admitted irrational homer when it comes to Celts thinks/thought Tatum has/had potential MVP type talent which I’ve always thought was hilariously wrong. To me, Tatum potential reminds me of Rudy Gay at his peak (pre-injury).

All that said, didn’t Davis’ agent recently come out and say the Celts better be prepared for just one year of Davis if they traded for him?

He did take a step back. He was much less efficient with his shot selectionlast year. His offensive game is similar to Gays. However, he is already a plus defender and has the ability to be an elite defender. He should be a much better 2 way player than Gay ever was.

He will probably never be tiered as high as Irving is. And what you said about Davis is correct. However ultimately he would have resigned. I think the marriage of Irving/Davis was too much of a gamble for them in terms of roster control. My guess is Irving stays in that scenario. But Irving is somewhat of an unpredictable dude, and a guy that has his own set of values. Thats something Ive come appreciate about him, however that characteristic of his os gonna take him away from my team. Even if they did trade for Davis, Irving may be dead set going back the the NYC area

Boston likely brings back Rozier and evaluates Tatum and Brown in 2019/20. Next year the Grizzlies pick will either convey or become unprotected in the next draft, so I think thats when I think they make any big move. If they can approch 50 wins and the 2nd round of the playoffs with Tatum, Brown, Rozier, Hayward and either Horford or Capella that should give them some ammo. Thats close to the team that went to the ECF last year, but the East is much tougher now

A darker skinned, pre injury Hayward might be the best comp I can come up with with.

Don’t know how I missed it the first time around but didn’t realize Ingram was part of the deal.

Given the fact Memphis had little leverage they were able to get quite a good haul for AD. I don’t know how the pieces fit together for them but they should be entertaining to watch.

If you kept all of Lonzo’s obvious weaknesses but could add the innate leadership skills of guy like Jason Kidd, he could be a player. Problem is I don’t see that him at all.

I like the deal for LA. Since the trade won’t be effective until after the draft, the first round picks will be 2020 and 2022. Giving up Josh Hart sucks for them, but they likely add Kemba Walker and a few other free agents on cheap deals to fill out the roster

C- Anthony Davis, Moritz Wagner
PF- Kyle Kuzma
SF- Lebrun James
SG-
PG- Kemba Walker, Isaac Bonga

Three point shooting is a weakness as well as depth, but they’ll be fine

There will be alot of good veteran role players that will be willing to play for the vet min on that team. If they add Walker, the are probably the Western Conference favorites

Fair enough. What do you think of the Lakers trade?

Worst trade in Laker history in my lifetime. Lakers now have Davis, James, Kuzma, Mo Wagner, Bonga on their current team, that's it. Plus without 3 future 1st round picks.

Lakers won't make playoffs next season. Pelinka CAVED into their demands, when no one else was bidding.
On top of that. Making this trade so early eliminates their max contract slot. Meaning no Kawhi. @CalPolyTechnique can you confirm this?

3 draft picks seems like a lot on paper but in reality it isn't that much considering 2 of them will most likely be in the 20s.

Boston has 3 first round picks in this years draft and they probably couldn't get into the top 5 if they packaged them in a trade.

I think if you move Ball and #4 for a legit young producer, Jrue stays healthy and Zion and Randle can play well together they could challenge for a late seed. They could be a 40-44 win team next season if the planets align IMO
I expect them to make the playoffs. Largely because I believe in their GM.
And Zion is a legit NBA starter already.
They have a very deep team now in numbers but clearly need a couple starters out of either trade or FA.

If they can move Ball +4 for a legit starter at 2-4 they look pretty solid. 1 big salary slot and max if they let Randle walk.

Jrue -1
BI -2/3
Zion -4/5

Depth Hart. Hill, Moore. Okafor

Best time of NBA season is upon us, lol.

thats not the way it works.
Pels control the next 7 years of Lakers drafts because of those pick swap designations.
How good are the Lakers going to be in 2024?
Heck, how good are they next year if either LBJ or AD get injured.

That pick swap thing is just bizarre.

Davis to the Lakers for Ingram, Ball, Hart and three first round picks, including the #4 overall

:lmao2:

What's going to be hilarious is when AD leaves as a free agent the following year.. because he can't stand LeBron and his people. Lakers will have squandered all those high draft picks/ players for nothing.

Leaving the Lakers in an absolute mess for the next decade. Pelicans already played the Lakers for a fool once last year...Now w/ this move...are gonna play them even bigger.

The trade includes this years #4 pick in the draft this Thursday.
