Then you got to see Jordan Alvarez do something that left-handed hitters don't do... And that's put a ball up on the train tracks.

Tonight he hit 3 balls:

114.1, 108.7, 110.2

Those are the exit velocities.

Opposing pitchers are already giving this kid a ton of respect.

Way too early to call him a great hitter but he could be something special.

I’ll bet first baseman throughout the league are glad Jordan is not a dead pull hitter...

And he’s only 21. Can you say “Super Star”?

Potentially yeah...

He's on the right path.

As I've posted before several have compared him with David Ortiz...

And I can see that.

A typical "Ortiz" season would be a .286 average with 36 homers and a bunch of walks.

I could see that being the norm for this kid.

This is mind boggling considering there are many in the HOF with WAR below 50, including Jim Rice.

Mets fire their pitching coach today. And another person not responsible for this mess is thrown under the bus. While I blame the Wilpons ultimately for this horrible display of baseball, Brodie should take a lot of heat for this bag of horrible players he has put together. Cano should have never been traded for. Familia should have never been signed. The bullpen is absolutely horrible. Mets managment does not believe fans can withstand a whole team makeover but they are wrong. At least when the team has a sell off there is some hope for the future. Trading the future players to guys 10 years past their prime is just lunacy and leaves fans without any hope. Brodie needs to go.

Aw Man as if it could not get any worse in Mets World today. Apparently Mickey Calloway got into a shouting match with a reporter. Then Vargas apparently got involved with the same reporter where Syndagard had to get between them.. On the way out of the locker room, Mickey Calloway shoved a kid who was there for a Make A Wish foundation and see Syndagarrd. Parameterics were called. I doubt the kid was in teh best shape to begin with. And while I am sure Calloway feels sick as a dog for what he did there will probably be consequences. I dont blame Calloway for this mess but he did mis-manage the game today. The Mets are the Tampa Bucs of the 1990s. Horrible ownership and horrible managment. The team should be taken away from the Wilpons. There is no end in sight for this mess.

Yankees playing well atm. In the end it usually comes down to pitching, not sure the Yankees have what it takes but so far so good.

Let's go Yankees!

I am really hoping the Braves, can get a reliever by the trade deadline. I don't think we need another bat in the line up. I feel like next year's the year we really push for a run at the World Series. Acuna,Jr. Is such a stud. I love watching him play.

Did they fire the manager or pitching coach? Jesus...:omg:

I know they protect the players these days...but damn....that's just insane.

In other news...You know it's going to be a good week when...Yanks dump 30 runs on the Red Sox in 2 games...
