I'm not trying to call him out. That book has already been written. I'm just pointing out the truth, and his own hypocrisy.
I know but there are a bunch of posters that have spun tales and then try and deny they ever said anything. Many of those have posted here already.

Many players have trashed this offense, Bennett, TO, Dez, Holley, now Beasley. Now were/are some of them asshats yep but it does not make them wrong about the basic state of this offense.

Love Dez, but Romo told us what Dez could do and couldn't do, a new wr coach came in and told us the same about Dez. As for Beasley, who knows if he was serious enough to do anything else, didn't he quit football and JG had to talk him into coming back.

I'm not the one claiming Cooper is better than anyone, I'm calling people out who are jumping the gun. People tend to overlook that Cooper was incredibly inconsistent, and no, it did not start with us. That has plagued him since his time in Oakland.

Him having a 200 and 180 yard game and the next few weeks having 1-3 catches for under 40 yards is not new. His biggest problem, outside of his hands, has always been consistency. Anyone saying he's "better than Dez" is jumping the gun due to some blind hatred they have for anyone that is a former player and doesn't have a gold jacket.
I'm well aware of his inconsistencies. I was one of the people pumping the breaks when the trade was announced because of that. I'm still not sure which Cooper we have.

Yet all of them flourished as players here, except Bennett and Holley which by the way his gripe was playing behind Witten, Holley should've never been on the roster, he was a favor from Jerry to Irvin.

Even worse, they’ll try to chastise those who were right for bringing it up. It’s pathetic.

Exactly. And it’s not just them criticizing it and pointing out the issues. There are tons of players from other teams, writers, and media analysts saying the exact same thing. Too bad if the truth hurts.

Dez was injured in 2016, but he was on pace to have 1,000+ yards and 10+ TDs if he played a full 16 games. Not exactly a "ghost" - that's with consistent play, it is not the same with Cooper who had 2 big regular season games that inflated his stats.

Try again.
I don't have to try......you do

DEz was brought in to be the next Michael Irvin; in many ways, he never got close.
Dez was a made WR by Romo in many ways. Love him. While he was a Cowboy until the day he left his jersey was the only one I wore on Sunday games.

On one thing, I do feel for Bryant and think this was totally out of line and I don't have a lot of respect for McClay because of it. He took shots at his route running and lack of separation as the reason he was cut, after he was already gone. Why do that? No need to explain why a player got cut when he's trying to land another job.

I do not know if this of his own volition or he was ordered to do it but it was definitely the wrong thing to do. That's the wrong thing to do with any employee that's been canned even within the company but to say that to the media? Nah, not a McClay fan.

I disagree.

I view it just the opposite.

For me, it's refreshing to get some truth from a player no longer beholden to the Cowboys for a paycheck. I'm sick of hearing 'the company line' from everyone that still works here. You listen to them and then wonder how after the season we inexplicably once again failed to win the Super Bowl?

IMO once you're on another team, you're better off just moving on and not rehashing old stuff that you can't control anyway. Even if you try to be fair in your comments, they can super easily get twisted into sour grapes. I don't think it can help a player's career, so you might as well just move on and concentrate on helping your new team win.

Ain't a one of us here that can say without any conviction, the tenure under the clapping carrot has been any where near stellar. In fact just the opposite of that, add to it Linehan and his vanilla concoction of an offense, I have little to no doubt the slot wasn't the preferred position in the clapper offensive scheme. That being said, any of us here that have lived beyond the age of 40 understands, it's never a good thing to cross a bridge, then turn and set it on fire.

I agree from the player career perspective. And that’s why getting truth is so rare. So I appreciate it when I can get it. Preferable to the company line insulting your intelligence.

I do believe after Dak's rookie year, he did not take advantage of Beasley's skills in the slot and the coaches barely take advantage of ANY of the players specific skill sets...

So I agree with Dez who agrees with Beas.

Dez may not have been able to gain separation in his routes but Beasley could.

I agree but that was NFL separation and requires precision passing without much wiggle room. And the middle of that line seem to clog up so I am not sure that when I saw Beasley was open, Dak could see him and had a lane open. That's 6'2" looking for 5'8* with almost all of the other players taller than that along that line. Which is why I don't see Brees throwing a lot of those when he's standing on his tiptoes to see over the line.

Good players will flourish regardless. Playing good in Garretts system is proof of that.

You won't always have elite talent. Gotta make up for it with coaching.

Two immature young men who got their feelings hurt and lashed out.

How is this important to any Cowboy fan on this site?

Why do y'all get butthurt when an athlete echoes the same thing we've been saying on here for almost a decade?

Garrett is a con-artist. A politician who hides behind empty catch phrases because his football IQ is not up to par. He's hamstrung a decent roster for years and gotten away with it because he knows how to lay it on thick with the bossman upstairs and can drive the bus over scapegoats with the best of them. The day he is gone will be the greatest day in this franchise's history since Super Bowl XXX.
Bravo Man, Bravo!!!
