I am sure those DakFantics who touted bleacher report when there were supporting articles will now turn against bleacher report because it doesn't support them.

this is the $140 million dollar question. some valid points in the article

can he lift those around him? or does he need them more than they need him?

Can we just combine all the dak threads in to one and pin it at the top until something actually happens.

Lifts players with his leadership and belief that they can and will win in any situation. His ability and talent matches his leadership and belief when the game matters most. Hopefully with Kellen we can now help him with effective play calling

How can you pay a quarterback 20% of the salary cap who is asked to do what Dak is asked to do?

The Wentz contract was stupid. Does that mean Dallas is required to be just as stupid?

Can Dak do the exact same thing as Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Rivers, Peyton, Roethlisberger, Romo....the QBs who are asked to run pretty much run everything with or without a running game?

If he can, then pay him accordingly. If he can't, don't destroy your franchise with an albatross contract for a glorified bus driver.

Mahomes will break the bank. Houston is probably about to make a huge mistake by paying Watson like he's Mahomes. Dallas looks to be doing the same with Dak.

The smart move is to let this play out this year, then make a decision to franchise him or do a big deal a year from now.

Interesting article.

Paxton Lynch is the only 1st round QB of 11 drafted from 2016 onwards to be a bust.........and is the one Jerry liked!!
very telling about Jerry, aint it lol. Confirms he is no football guy. Then again, water IS wet.

The article is not overly critical of Dak.

The article is more focused on the concept that big contracts are bad. The writer believes that paying Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson caused those teams to fall out of Super Bowl contention.

If the Cowboys want to wait until 2020 to give Dak a new contract, I'm OK with it; however, Dak is likely to be at least as good as he has been and Dak is going to get a big contract even if his 2019 season matches the worst of his 3 previous seasons.

Waiting will mean mean the price gets higher.

In draft speak, Dak is a high floor player.

The thread is not unlike any other pro or con discussion, that have been hosted on the site many moons before the current quarterback took over, but the thread title is akin to:

  • 1-player russian roulette
  • 5 chambers empty of a 6 total cylinders
  • Pulling the trigger 5 times
  • Player not ever being suicidal but pulls the trigger one last...

--well, essentially, that is the title in a nutshell.

Saying water is wet just seems wrong. Saying the world is wet would be a better phrase. So I'm going to steal your thunder and start saying the world is wet. Ha,ahhhhhh.

Most of the world is actually wet.
Even the frozen parts. Which are quickly becoming defrozen...
Is that a word?

According to Thor all words are made up. Frozen is a real word and de is a real prefix. So yes defrozen is a real word even if no one has ever heard of it.
