Seen on Twitter (not sure how to post it here so if anybody can do that it would be much appreciated) that the Saints are willing to make Michael Thomas the highest paid receiver in the league. Depending on what he signs for would this raise Cooper's demands or lowers them? Personally I want to get our guys signed first before everybody else raises the market. We have already seen it with Wentz and Dak.

Amari Cooper has 115 fewer catches than Thomas the last three years.

And 900 fewer yards and 4 TDS less, but with one more 100 yard game.

Thomas is incredibly consistent at catching the ball. Drew Brees doesn’t hurt.

Amari is more of a gamebreaker

Thomas has 4 career TDS over 20 yards. Amari has 17.

****,

Thomas only has 2 career scores from more than 25 yards out.

Amari has all 17 including 4 just from Dak in half a season.

But Cooper has was one of the most productive receivers once he got to Dallas. Him and Dak had almost instant chemistry, just look at his season before Dallas and then after Dallas.

The big knock on Cooper was that he made some very untimely drops. Lots of drops. We didn't see that in Dallas. Cooper had NEVER had more leverage in his life. Coming off the best 8 games of his life, with a team that traded a first rounder for him, that changed the offense once he got there. And Dak loves him.

He is going to get paid big money. Unless the Cowboy are going to walk into the room after Thomas gets his contract and tries to tell Cooper that he is below Thomas in production or talent.

I mean Cooper was a #4 overall pick and had put up good numbers in the past so it's not like he wasn't talented.
What's your excuse for Beasley who had his most productive season with Dak?

By the way most folks, even on here, was saying how bad the trade was. How Cooper dropped too many balls etc. To say Dak didn't make Cooper better is silly, same can be said for Cooper helping Dak. They helped each other

People saying a trade was bad doesn't make the player bad. And so what if Beasley had the best season of his career with Dak? Again, Beasley isn't a bad player...he just needs to stop talking about Dallas at this point.

If Dak makes players better them why did we need to trade for Cooper? In the past, Romo made careers for guys like Miles Austin, Laurent Robinson, Patrick Crayton, etc. Guys who put up good numbers here, then went elsewhere and did absolutely nothing. I haven't seen Dak do that yet.

If Romo could make players better than why he couldn't make Roy Williams better or Sam Hurd or why he couldn't make Beasley have career numbers.

Speaking of numbers you say Beasley isn't a bad player...... He averaged 500 yards and 5 TDs until he played with Dak which he increased his yardage by 300 yards.

I think I'll hold off on the dak and cooper psychobabble until they ACTUALLY sign contracts. Until then it's all just bored people typing. We might as well be talking about the weather.

So far, it seems Coop is betting on himself. He is going to play out 2019, hopefully rack up massive stats for us, see how the WR market looks after Julio Jones and Michael Thomas sign their big deals, and then he's going to quote an asking price to the Cowboys.

Well Cooper was doing little for the Raiders and the second half of the season he blew it up here.
