I agree. I don't consider myself a Garrett basher because this team does respond to his coaching. But as an in-game strategist Garrett offers very little.

Even the OP said he heard nothing groundbreaking. I just hope this is the year the Cowboys have amassed enough talent to win it all regardless of coaching.
Garrett is great at keeping spirits up, even I will give him that.

But what makes a coach complete is preparing to the point you don't have to perform damage control after a gameplan blows up in your face.

what about bill cowher? it took him a while to find success....

Cowher took Pittsburgh to the playoffs his first 6 years including an AFC title game and a super bowl. If Garret's resume' even approximated that he wouldn't be twisting in the wind in the final year of his contract without an extension.

And you jump in with nothing....lol

I didn't need to, I wasn't the guy trying to chastise someone else when he had nothing, that was you.

And you got called on on your nonsense. And still have nothing.

Yes...I KNOW THAT. As Ive said....was just nice to hear it from someone who is actually a big hitter in the sport instead of from a bunch of internet schlubs like ourselves.

Dude - Who you callin a "Schlub?"

But you felt the need to give you 1 cent. Yet you brought 0, then when called out you wanna play stupid just like clockwork.

Wouldnt be professional for me to say. NFL GM, Executive of the year. Has been to Superbowl. I dont tell you this to make it a guessing game, more just telling you so you know what he says carries some weight.

Garrett won coach of the yr. Jerry executive of the yr. this is just the same opinion most sane fans hold without the superlatives.

That "GM" hasn't said anything most fans hadn't already known for the past 10 or so years. Maybe not the Cowboys being stacked but, the other .

They haven’t advanced beyond the divisional round despite having talented teams. He and his staff got out coached in January against the Rams.

Garrett is an average head coach. The Cowboys should have a really good to great head coach.
Yep, but what good/great HC will come in here and deal with JJ and all his player meddling? That's right NONE. So in the midterm, we get .....Clapping Garrett.

Serious question: have we ever gone into a really tough game and you honestly said to yourself, 'thank god we have Jason Garrett on our side'?

Anyone?

Bueller?

So... we're basically driving our Ferrari into the ocean. Great to hear.

There's a reason why JG's contract wasn't renewed people...hello!

The FACT is, nobody outside the Cowboys’ FO knows why Garrett’s contract hasn’t been renewed.

Is that enlightening enough for ya?

It's not the first time Garrett has been on the final year of his contract.

Garrett signed a 4 year contract in 2011 with 2014 as his final year on that deal.

He signed his next contract on January 13, 2015.
