It’s definitely a position of strength for us. Anything beyond that is just bragging rights on speculative analysis that serves no other purpose.

Discussions involving degree of quality can be sources for wisdom as well...

I like Zeigenbach.
It is, I guess it still is brewed near Austin. It was outselling Bud here in Texas. So Bud bought them out.
Ziegenbock is brewed at Anheuser Busch in Houston. It’s an original beer AB begun brewing ( didn’t buy out) in Texas to compete with Shiner Bock which has a stronghold in Texas market.

Bud Lt is still top selling beer in Texas but in some markets like Austin , Shiner Bock is the leading beer.

Thanks for the info and correction. I was going by what a beer distributor from Ben E. Keith, local Bud rep, here in Texas told me years ago when I owned my bar.

As long as it works for us and helps win games, I don't care if the pundits rank them 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or whatever.
Just win and give Eli dumb face. :lmao2:

The key to the corps is Lee, the brains of the outfit. If he can stay healthy, this can be the top LB corps in the game other than the best duo.

The best thing that happened for the LB corps was adding Quinn and Hill and keeping the OL off the LB's. And while Lee has lost a step over time, he hasn't lost what really gives him that edge, he sniffs out a play as good as any LB in the game today or any that we've ever had.

If health holds, this could be a very special front 7 and dictate the play calling of the opposing OC's, instead of the other way around.

Could be this team true identity defensively, this defense can be/ is special already.... at the intermediate level.
A few pieces fall in place on the DL and an improved secondary, and this D can be really good,

What would take them above the intermediate level would be turnovers, that's what separates the intermediate from the excellent.

It has been a while since the Cowboys did that but in 2014, one of the reasons for a good season was ranking #2 in INT's. They weren't excellent but they were opportunistic as the Colts and Saints D's were when they won it all.

When I used the term Intermediate level, Im referring to the entire bottom 7 of this defense, LB mainly, but we have a nice supporting cast of rookie/vet DBs roaming.

I’m also not writing lee off like a lot of people are. I think it a luxury of riches to have him here too.

I think he is a bigger benefit by coaching up the young guys....he can still play when healthy but I’d be hard pressed to see him play the whole season

Ohhhhh, don't get me started on that. That meathead Charleton couldn't wait to get his stupid sack celebration in play. Guess he should have spent more time on actually learning how to play DE in the NFL instead of sprinkling fairy dust on imaginary tacos. HotBoyz at the taco bar!!!!

I detest all individual celebrations for everything except a TD and that feed me from Elliott is among the dumbest. Why doesn't Taco run out there and feed him?

The constant celebrations over minor things I can see where you are coming from. But a huge sack at a critical point in the game or a 4th down stop, I have no problem with the players getting all hyped.

I think so. Love both of these guys but Jaylon is just an inspiration for all of us. Never ever give up like 80% of the fans did here after 3-5 last year.

"both of these guys"

Most people, including you, seem to be dismissing the huge potential upside of Lee getting healthy.

Pro bowl in 2015, All Pro in 2016, then limited by injury since. But he's only 32 now. Without lingering injury, that's the downward slope of his career, but not the washed up part of his career. His fully healthy upside is no longer pro bowl, but a very good WLB, and the best LB on the team compared to our 4-3 rosters until last year.

And just Sean Lee's brain on the field makes people around him better. He's an upgrade over the Damien Wilsons we usually put at SLB, and maybe a *huge* one. Two likely young pro bowlers, and a *very good* SLB who makes everyone around him better is just crazy quality at LB, and while it's not in the bag, it's fairly likely.
