Dak in my opinion, but I’m probably slightly biased as I always considered Romo an empty stats player that lacked leadership skills.

The players, including Witten, chose Dak over Romo. Now why would Romo's best friend, on the team, chose Dak?

This is such a stupid statement. Stop.

We have absolutely no idea who these players "chose" - we only know what they knew to say in front of the camera to keep from controversy.

Most of these players, if I remember correctly, stated they would have been happy either way.

I want to say Tony. But man, it seems like Dak plays his absolute best when the game is do or die.

Prescott in his three years has had a better defense than Romo ever had his whole career, except for 2009.

Give Prescott the defensive play Romo got and he would not be considered clutch, and he wouldn't be 32-16 either.

Turn that around and give Romo the quality of defense Prescott has played with and you would be talking championship.

Your down 6 points at your own 10 yard line 1 timeout left with a minute twenty left, who would you want under center? I choose Romo.

The FO talked to team leaders and asked them whom shall they play. The team leaders responded with let's stick with the hot hand.

Before the decision was official the media would ask the players their preference. The players were saying we'll be happy either way.

After the decision became official the players started telling the media we (the players and front office) would have been happy either way but we decided to go with the hot hand.

Do you not remember the FO saying we talked to team leadership and decided to go with the hot hand. Jason Witten's comment after the decision was official was, "We would have been happy either way but, things have been going pretty good for us. Why mess that up.?"

So yes you are right the players were saying we'll be happy either way, but they still chose Dak...AKA the hot hand.

There's a stat out that Dak killed Wentz in 4th quarter comeback, so I'd say Dak has the skillset over Tony at this time in their careers.

Remember, when Tony was in his third year he was still turning the ball over.....that Bills game he had 5!!!!
I remember the Bills game. The one Romo led the team on a game winning drive...

Romo was always extremely poised in the face of chaos. The play vs the rams is what always stuck out to me. The defenders were coming down hill after him, he had he back to them chasing the over snapped ball which he calmly gathered and proceeded to make a play. Dak has yet to be put in that dire of a position that I can remember but he does display great poise so early in his career.

Dak is a winner no doubt and maybe one of the best leaders I’ve seen in awhile. Having said that if Romo had played on last years team we would have been 15-1 and SB champs IMO.

Cool, now we get to enjoy all of the agenda driven viewpoints while still hearing about our QB highlights. An excellent off-season topic!

I'm a big fan of both. 2 completely different skillsets that are/were fun to watch.
yes sir,, I love BBQ nnn this time of year,, when I first lay I nice fillet on the grill, I love coming in and seeing the latest anything I can get Cowboy realted,,, am I in need of some therapy,, probably, but I love the off season as much as I can, BBQ helps tremendously,, just saying it does for me.

Tony was very clutch. He had lots of game winning drives within the last few minutes where he scored and then the defense would give up a touchdown and they would lose.

If tony didn’t do something amazing the cowboys lost. That is why his teams failed and his body gave out.

The cowboys are built different now. It works out better this way. Dak does have nerves of steel though.

I read that stat once but can't find it now - times a QB led the team to a lead in the final 3 minutes and then the defense let up a score to lose. Tony was WAY WAY WAY ahead of everyone. Something in the 20s IIRC. Next closest was just over 10. Brady had 1.

Just sayin.
