Name the Captains

Something to do on a rainy offseason day. For this thread you are limited to a total of 6 captains and you have to have at least one from each side (O, D and ST). There are actually some interesting choices with Fred back and Crawford having off field issues.

Here are mine:

Offense:
Dak- zero questions here.
Martin- Was a captain last year and did nothing to lose it.
Beard- Think he gets it back. He’s that well respected.

Defense:
DLaw- More than a talent on the field he is leader in the locker room.
Jaylon- Dude was born to be a captain

ST- give me Frenchie. Dude has earned it.

Lots of pretty deserving guys not on this list. What say you zoners?

Figured Lee couldn’t have it as a part time player. Same with Witten and he doesn’t get it after taking a year off.

Even though fans may not agree..team won’t vote Crawford out of being captain.

If Jaylon makes it, it’ll be Jaylon/Crawford.

TBH...it’ll probably be Crawford/Lee again.

Isn’t it kinda weird for fans to name the captains when the team itself votes for them for only reasons they can say?
Playing along, I vote for six new captains... the only place the current set has proven they can lead this team is to the local weed spot and to the suspension appeal office. Leadership seems in short supply.

I think you'll be surprised once Witten is finally given his deserved backseat with the team this offseason. As far as Sean Lee goes, I'll challenge you to a 1-year avatar bet. Everyone loves him but you don't qualify for the "C" if you're no longer anticipated to be a main factor on the field. There's a youth movement with this team...and about damn time.

The rest are a toss up.

I guess if you're giving Dak 34 mil or so, that comes with a patch... lol.

In all seriousness, if Fred beard earns one, that bodes well for us. (I believe this will happen).
I gotta give a shout out to Joe Looney for his effort last year.

DLaw gets a "C" along with all that $$$. Jaylon is a no brainer.

Man, we are all bored as hell... lol.
