The FO talked to team leaders and asked them whom shall they play. The team leaders responded with let's stick with the hot hand.

Before the decision was official the media would ask the players their preference. The players were saying we'll be happy either way.

After the decision became official the players started telling the media we (the players and front office) would have been happy either way but we decided to go with the hot hand.

Do you not remember the FO saying we talked to team leadership and decided to go with the hot hand. Jason Witten's comment after the decision was official was, "We would have been happy either way but, things have been going pretty good for us. Why mess that up.?"

So yes you are right the players were saying we'll be happy either way, but they still chose Dak...AKA the hot hand.

Back up every single thing you just stated with sources, citations, and give me exactly what each player said. Next.

In Beaumont Texas, The Jason Garrett Show comes on at 5am on Sundays. The Jerry Jones Show comes at 5:30am. (Right after) The Cowboys' Post Game Show comes on at 12:30am Monday morning. AKA Sunday night. I watch and record all of those shows. They include interviews from Jason, Jerry, Stephen, and the players. I record the shows before the game, the game, and the post game. So I'll have something to watch during the offseason. Things tend to stick in my memory because see everything twice.

since aikman walked out the door the qb play for the dallas cowboys in the playoffs has been pretty average at best when they needed to make a big play to win a game they didn't

Dak came up with big plays against the Packers and Seahawks. Defense came up short in the 4th qtr buth that happens. And Rodgers had a huge career moment to win the game.

what is a game winning drive?
A game winning drive is simply a drive after the start of the fourth quarter that puts the winning team ahead for the final time. It has nothing to do with the QB or any other one player. If Zack Martin picks up a fumble with 14 minutes left in the 4th quarter and rumbles 99 yards for the touchdown and the Cowboys never give up the lead, it’s a game winning drive... that apparently a bunch of Dak slobberers would cite as proof of Dak being “clutch”.

I know is a much reduced sampling size for Dak but, the arrow is pointed upward for Dak at this point for me.

What say you?
Both are clutch QBs. The real question should be with the game on the line in the 4th quarter who would you prefer....Dak or Tony? I personally would take Dak with the obvious clutch gene but also his ability to make plays with his legs.

Until I see Dak do this in the playoffs, Dak is not "more clutch" than Romo

Agree that it is early for Dak but how many classic Romo playoff moments are there? Not many at all.

Romo played in 6 playoff games. 6. Dak has 3 in 3 seasons. I strongly believe Dak will pass that 6 games in the next season or 2. Not blaming Romo but there is next to nothing to point to for Romo moments.

Dak isn’t clutch at all, I have no idea why people keep saying he is based on game winning drive stats they don’t understand. He’s a dink and dunk guy; the game is never on him so how exactly is he going to be clutch?
With Romo any fan of the last two decades can instantly name multiple clutch positive and negative plays because the game was always in his hands until the end of his career. Dak’s most clutch moment by far was last year’s game against the 6-10 Giants, but that was a meaningless exhibition against tons of backups and mentally checked out Giants so there was zero pressure to win. Dak isn’t clutch; his most important skill is handing off.
@PAPPYDOG at least comes off as a likable person when he ignores the facts

You seem bitter, angry, unlikeable, and in the beginning stages of some sort of sports fan’s denial. :)

We're talking about clutch situations. Clutch situation in the playoffs >>> regular season clutchness against bad teams

QBs often win super bowls by being clutch at some point in the playoffs. Dak will be clutch when he proves it on a bigger stage.

Gracie Senior,

Pappy is a sweetheart of a guy but doesn't agree with the masses now and then and some just can't deal with that!
They throw there Mud and insults but the Pappy doesn't take the bait and lower himself to their level.
As Pappy is first and foremost a Cowboy fan and has respect for any fellow fans opinion even if it wrong or well misguided.
In the end we are all here for our Cowboys and all we want is the same thing (Hopefully) Superbowl # VI.....

As usual, this poster has to come out with a bunch of lies. Pure lies. Intentional lies... and he knows it. Would not doubt if he does this on purpose. Nothing but trolling. How so? The Giants started and played all 4 quarters their starters, NOT BACKUPS, and he ^^^^ knows it.

But it doesn't change anything AC,, doesn't matter which side of the Dak fence your on, reality suggests that you better get on the Dak train, that's your future franchise QB, so just accept it or be a disgruntled fan...lol
This whole debate is just rather funny these days,, aint got no Dak style talent just falling on to this roster,, Dak is this franchise.
If you want to complain about it, at least bring a better alternative, one that isn't full of fantasy.

It being tough to find a franchise QB is not justification to settle for a player you feel won't get you to where all teams want to go. This is what I will call a cope post.

Romo made the playoffs 3 of his first 4 seasons; I’m sure at the time he thought he would be an annual playoff participant for years to come. Unfortunately it doesn’t work like that.
One day (sooner than people think) Dak will wake up and learn how the other half lives with a below average offensive line and running game. The difference is, Romo was still able to play competently from 2010-2013. Based on what we saw in the second half of 2017, Dak will be released due to being unplayable.

He has played well in his 3 career playoff games.

You must have slept through last season because the OL was terrible. Dak being released is an asinine statement. Go take your meds.
